Μinors currently hosted in IOM Greece shelters participated in the painting workshop and art exhibition “Through the Eyes of Children”, organized by the Mentors Group of the Heracles Moskoff - sgvp at the Intercultural Gymnasium of Athens 🎨💙

Through art, the children had the opportunity to express their emotions, thoughts, memories, and dreams while sharing their unique stories with the community. One of the most touching moments of the event was when the children presented their own artworks and spoke about their creative process ✨

The exhibition highlighted the power of art as a tool for self-expression, inclusion, and human connection 🌍🤝

, , and are powerful tools for well-being and social cohesion 💙🌍

Recently, minors currently hosted in shelters participated in two vibrant community events in Kypseli, Athens- the *Connect Athens Festival 2026* and *Kypseli Mundial 2026* ⚽🎶🎨

Through hip hop and Latin dance workshops 💃, Afro-Brazilian percussion sessions 🥁, football activities ⚽, live music performances 🎵, skateboarding workshops 🛹, and interactive community actions, the minors experienced moments of joy, teamwork, self-expression, and intercultural exchange within safe and welcoming environments.

Through shared cultural and recreational experiences, the minors strengthened their sense of belonging, built positive social connections, and celebrated diversity in all its forms.

‼️ Chief of Mission, Sanja Celebic Lukovac, met with Luxembourg’s Minister of Home Affairs/ Ministère des Affaires intérieures, Léon Gloden, for an exchange on shared priorities.

🤝The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss current migration developments, the upcoming implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, and the importance of coordinated approaches that support effective, humane, and sustainable responses.

IOM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting , , and migration, while continuing to work closely with partners to support people on the move.

📍 The GReCE Specific Action successfully reached a second milestone with the delivery of 288 additional accommodation places at Veroia CAFTAAS. The site’s capacity was expanded through the installation of 4 fully equipped Rubb halls, 8 WASH containers, and the provision of essential furniture and electrical appliances.

🏗️ Construction works included earthworks, upgrades, and expansion of utility networks, installation of lighting and fencing, as well as enhanced fire safety equipment and measures.

These interventions contribute to improved living conditions for vulnerable migrants while strengthening the preparedness and overall capacity of the national reception system.

GReCE is implemented by IOM Greece in close coordination with the Υπουργείο Μετανάστευσης & Ασύλου , with the support of the ΤΑΜΕΥ - Ταμεία Μετανάστευσης και Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων and co-funding by the European Union.

Together, we continue supporting integration through and .

🌟 24 men and women participated in another successful + in SolidarityNow Center in Dafni, , creating new opportunities for people building their future in 🇬🇷

Representatives from SSP Hellas, Dynamis Hub, and Work For All presented employers from the service, hospitality, and care sectors and introduced available and career pathways to participants.

Employers highlighted not only training and employment opportunities, but also their commitment to inclusion, diversity, and respect for different cultural backgrounds. 🤝

Participants also took part in individual interviews, moving one step closer to employment after completing their profiling and CV preparation with the support of the Helios+ Project Attica team.

The project is implemented with the support of ΕΣΠΑ - Πρόγραμμα Αττική, through ΕΥΣΥΔ - ΜΕΥ of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum Υπουργείο Μετανάστευσης & Ασύλου.
