To Residual Contact, είναι μια ομαδική έκθεση που παρουσιάζεται από το The Institute for Art and
Olfaction και το HGW std. Η έκθεση λειτουργεί ως ένας διάλογος, φέρνοντας σε επαφή
σύγχρονους εικαστικούς καλλιτέχνες και ανεξάρτητους αρωματοποιούς από την Ελλάδα, με σκοπό
να εξερευνήσουν τη σύνδεση ανάμεσα στην εικόνα, την ύλη, την ατμόσφαιρα και το άρωμα.
Ακολουθώντας το Experimental Scent Summit που πραγματοποιείται νωρίτερα την ίδια ημέρα, το
Residual Contact διευρύνει τη συζήτηση γύρω από τη σύγχρονη κουλτούρα του αρώματος και τις
πειραματικές δημιουργικές πρακτικές.
Έξι αρώματα συνδυάζονται με τα έργα έντεκα καλλιτεχνών, δημιουργώντας μια σειρά από εμπειρίες
που ξεπερνούν τις παραδοσιακές μορφές έκθεσης και εισέρχονται στο πεδίο της ενσώματης
αντίληψης. Αντί να αντιμετωπίζει το άρωμα ως συμπληρωματικό στοιχείο των εικαστικών έργων, η
έκθεση το τοποθετεί ως ένα ενεργό καλλιτεχνικό μέσο, ικανό να διαμορφώνει την ατμόσφαιρα, να
διαταράζει την αντίληψη και να δημιουργεί νέες σχέσεις ανάμεσα στα σώματα, τα αντικείμενα και τον
χώρο.
Εγκαταστάσεις, βίντεο, πίνακες, γλυπτά, ήχος και άρωμα προσκαλούν το κοινό να βιώσει τον χώρο
όχι μόνο οπτικά, αλλά και σωματικά και συναισθηματικά. Το Residual Contact εξερευνά τα αόρατα
ίχνη που αφήνουν πίσω τους το άρωμα και η οπτική εμπειρία: τη μνήμη, το συναισθηματικό
αποτύπωμα, τη χωρική αντίληψη, την οικειότητα και τη μεταμόρφωση.

HX - Henna Räsänen is a Finnish, Berlin-based non-binary and q***r comic artist whose work explores social norms and the looming climate catastrophe through offbeat, prickly humor. Their work depict subcultures and q***r communities in a rapidly eroding world, while addressing contemporary political climates with both tactics and optimism.

In their ink drawings dark and troubled waltzes with hope and urban topographies sink into forestation as punk rock blasts through the northern landscapes.

They’ve been a part of multiple collectives and art groups from Alter Finanzamt (2016-2020) to Comic Invasion Berlin Festival (2020-20224) in many different curatorial roles.

Since autumn 2022, our space has hosted contemporary q***r artists who dared, exposed, moved, and disrupted.

In retrospect brings back the works that left a mark — not to reminisce, but to celebrate them as they deserve.

In a time when q***r bodies are attacked in the streets and politicians dream of our erasure, we turn on the lights.
We celebrate q***r art as an act of resistance, desire, and life.

✨ In retrospect — νέα έκθεση στο HGW std.

Από το φθινόπωρο του 2022 μέχρι σήμερα, ο χώρος μας έγινε τόπος συνάντησης για σύγχρονους q***r καλλιτέχν(ιδ)ες που τόλμησαν, εξέθεσαν, συγκίνησαν και αναστάτωσαν.

Με το In retrospect επιστρέφουμε στα έργα εκείνα που άφησαν το σημάδι τους στον χώρο και τη μνήμη μας — όχι για να τα νοσταλγήσουμε, αλλά για να τα γιορτάσουμε όπως τους αξίζει.

Σε μια εποχή που q***r σώματα απειλούνται στον δρόμο και πολιτικοί οραματίζονται την εξαφάνισή μας, εμείς ανάβουμε το φως.
Γιορτάζουμε την q***r τέχνη ως πράξη αντίστασης, επιθυμίας και ζωής.
