EHCB and the LKTRA announce their collaboration 🤝
The EuroLeague Head Coaches Board and the Lithuanian Basketball Coaches Association are delighted to announce their educational collaboration as a first step toward a closer institutional relationship between the two entities.
During the season, the members of the Lithuanian Coaches Association who participate in the EHCB Coaches Academy will have extra benefits in what will hopefully be the first step for further collaboration.
“The tradition of Lithuanian basketball and the level of coaching in the country are among Europe’s elite, and that’s why this decision makes us more than happy and proud”, EHCB president Xavi Pascual said.
“The real value of this cooperation is not the document it is the experience a coach takes back into his own gym. In basketball, knowledge is rarely transferred through certificates; it moves through people who have already solved the problems a coach is facing today. The EHCB Coaches Academy puts Lithuanian coaches directly in front of those people: EuroLeague and NBA head coaches, the assistants who build their scouting, the strength and conditioning specialists and club doctors who keep players available, and the referees who manage the games. When a coach hears how an elite staff reaches a decision, he begins to understand not only what they do but why and that is what he can apply at the very next practice. We are glad to be able to offer our members experience of this quality, and we thank the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board for opening the door”, added Airidas Nutautas, General secretary of the Lithuanian coaches Association.
