Greek enchanting countryside, the perfect environment for inspiring new encounters and creations 🌱

When I asked Suzdar about her favourite activities while living a hard life in the camp, she told me she loves picking Zaatar (thyme). So one day we went to the hills and picked a full bag. She used it to cook traditional meals and to make tea, and gave me the rest of the bag to use at home. 🌱

Dee is an experienced yoga teacher and advanced Reiki practitioner. With many years of experience guiding women in vulnerable situations, she has been very important for the development of ‘Sea Me.’

And now she is part of ART OVER BORDERS: Artistic encounter

Dee will join us for the last part of our trip. After living 7 years in the UK and 6 years in Turkey, she now lives in Greece, where she retreats herself for a calmer life. In Agistri island we will have the honour to do a morning yoga session with a view. As it inspired her, the beautiful Greek countryside will be the perfect place to reflect on the past days together. Dee will help us to find out what we take home with us from this journey.

In december 2021 Hnd and I went to Lesvos island (Greece).

With mixed feelings we drove through the stunning scenery and searched for places where she has memories from. Places that have changed more than expected, some even became unrecognisable. But so has she, from a young girl evolved into the strong woman she is today.

Manhal and Majdi will be your guides during the first part of the trip. Born and raised in Damascus (Syria), they arrived in Athens (Greece) a few years ago due to the war. They met each other here, became best friends and built up a new life. We will taste their food, hear their music and discover their favourite places in Athens, which is just like their hometown a Mediterranean capital city.
