If you’ve ever set foot in a Greek public hospital, you know these lines. Each color leads
somewhere different. But when you don’t speak the language, don’t understand the system,
or don’t know which line is yours, they all start to blur.

So, which line do you follow when you don’t know where to go?

We created Aliro for exactly this. To be there when the system feels impossible. To help people find their way, not just through the building, but through the bureaucracy, the appointments, the prescriptions, the follow-ups. No one should have to figure this out alone.

Την περασμένη Κυριακή, η πολύ αγαπημένη μας φίλη Αναστασία έτρεξε 21 χιλιόμετρα στον Ημιμαραθώνιο της Αθήνας και συγκέντρωσε το σημαντικό ποσό των 2.367€ για την IRIS, στηρίζοντας το έργο μας, μέσα από το οποίο υποστηρίζουμε ευάλωτους και κοινωνικά αποκλεισμένους συνανθρώπους μας με τις ανάγκες της υγείας τους.

Από την πρώτη κιόλας μέρα που ξεκίνησε η IRIS, η Αναστασία βρίσκεται στο πλευρό μας και είμαστε βαθιά ευγνώμονες για τη στήριξή της και την καρδιά της.

This past Sunday, our very dear friend Anastasia ran the Athens Half Marathon and raised an amazing 2.367€ for IRIS to support the work we do - helping vulnerable and marginalised people with their health needs.

From IRIS’ very first day, Anastasia has been supporting us on this journey and we are very grateful for her and her heart!

Σήμερα συμπληρώνουμε τρία χρόνια από την ίδρυση της IRIS. Κάθε άνθρωπος, κάθε ιστορία, κάθε στιγμή γεμάτη αγωνία στο νοσοκομείο, κάθε φάρμακο που δόθηκε, κάθε δάκρυ που σκουπίστηκε - μας θυμίζουν το λόγο που είμαστε εδώ.

Με τη χάρη και την πιστότητα του Θεού, σταθήκαμε στο πλευρό εκείνων που υποφέρουν. Γιατί σε εκείνες τις στιγμές, ανάμεσα στην απόγνωση και τη θεραπεία, την απομόνωση και τη φροντίδα, τον πόνο και την ελπίδα - γίναμε μάρτυρες της αποκατάστασης ζωών.

Σας ευχαριστούμε που είστε μέρος του ταξιδιού μας!!

Today marks three years since we started IRIS. Every person, every story, every anxious hospital visit, every medicine provided, every tear wiped away - they all remind us why we’re here.

Through God’s grace and faithfulness, we were able to stand in the gaps with those who suffer. Because in those moments between despair and healing, between isolation and care, between suffering and hope - we’ve witnessed miracles of restoration unfold.

A huge congratulations to our marathon runners!

Amanda, Ben & Betina together raised an amazing €2,300 to support healthcare access for the vulnerable people we are serving across Athens. We are so thankful for these three!!
