About the Organizer-Aenaos Thalassa

Η ΑΕΝΑΟΣ ΘΑΛΑΣΣΑ ιδρύθηκε στα τέλη του 2019 με σκοπό απολύτως και αποκλειστικά μη κερδοσκοπικό και κοινωφελή. Συνίσταται στην προστασία του περιβάλλοντος, ιδίως αλλά όχι αποκλειστικώς του θαλασσίου περιβάλλοντος και την παροχή υποστήριξης για κάθε έργο, πρωτοβουλία και δραστηριότητα που προάγει την ως άνω προστασία, την βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη και διαχείριση θαλάσσιων οικοσυστημάτων παγκοσμίως αλλά και παράκτιων οικοσυστημάτων με προτεραιότητα την Μεσόγειο και ιδιαιτέρως στην Ελληνική Επικράτεια.

Με την υποστήριξη του Thalassa Foundation, Η ΑΕΝΑΟΣ ΘΑΛΑΣΣΑ διοργανώνει την 4ήμερη αυτή εκδήλωση, από τιςε 5 έςω τις 8 Ιουνίου 2020 με σκοπό να εγείρει το ενδιαφέρον στην προστασία του θαλάσσιου περιβάλλοντος αλλά και να αυξήσει την ευαισθητοποίηση του ευρέως κοινού στα θέματα της θάλασσας και των ωκεανών και να μεταφέρει το μήνυμα σχετικά με την βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη.

AENAOS THALASSA is a non-profit organization established in late 2019 with the aims of protecting the environment, especially but not exclusively the marine one, and supporting any project, initiative and activity which promotes the above, as well as the sustainable development and management of global marine and coastal ecosystems, with a priority set on the Mediterranean Sea and especially its part in Greece.

With the support of Thalassa Foundation, Aenaos Thalassa is organising this 4-day open event, from June 5 to June 8, 2020, aiming at stimulating interest in marine protection, awareness on global ocean issues and communicating messages related to sustainable growth. At the same time, the festival aspires to showcase the National Marine Park of Alonissos Northern Sporades as a good example of an integrated and holistic management of a Marine Protected Area and Alonissos as a local community fully harmonised with the island’s nature.
