Dissemination in Portugal – Sharing the “Path of Olive” Journey

During a film event in Portugal, members of our partner organization shared their experience from the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Path of Olive”.

Before the screening of the short film “Fear and Devotion”, the team had the chance to talk with young people and community members about what they experienced in Agrinio: from the cultural exchange and nature workshops to the friendships built and the short film they co-created in Greece.

They also presented the official “Path of Olive” short film , giving visibility to the values of Erasmus+, the beauty of Agrinio, and the power of youth collaboration.

It was a moment of reflection and storytelling — reminding us that the impact of a project continues long after it ends.

Κατά τη διάρκεια κινηματογραφικής βραδιάς στην Πορτογαλία, μέλη της συνεργαζόμενης ομάδας Waves of Youth μοιράστηκαν την εμπειρία τους από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ “Path of Olive” που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Αγρίνιο.

Πριν από την προβολή της ταινίας “Fear and Devotion”, είχαν την ευκαιρία να συνομιλήσουν με νέους και μέλη της τοπικής κοινότητας, μιλώντας για όσα έζησαν στην Ελλάδα: τις πολιτισμικές ανταλλαγές, τα εργαστήρια στη φύση, τις φιλίες που γεννήθηκαν και φυσικά τη δημιουργία της ταινίας μικρού μήκους από τους ίδιους τους συμμετέχοντες.

Παρουσίασαν επίσης την ταινία μικρού μήκους του “Path of Olive”, αναδεικνύοντας τις αξίες του Erasmus+, την ομορφιά του Αγρινίου και τη δύναμη της συνεργασίας των νέων.

Ήταν μια ζωντανή στιγμή διάχυσης — απόδειξη πως η επίδραση ενός προγράμματος συνεχίζεται και πέρα από τη διάρκειά του.

Sustainability from Europe to Agrinio

In the afternoon, our mission was clear: sustainable map across Europe — and in Agrinio.

Participants worked in teams to co-create a visual map of Europe, marking sustainable products, places, and habits from their countries. From Lithuanian linen to Greek olive oil and Portuguese cork, each pin on the map told a story of connection between people and the planet. 🌍

But we didn’t stop at theory. After presenting their work, participants took to the streets of Agrinio in search of local sustainable practices. From traditional shops to eco-conscious cafés and city corners full of potential, they discovered how small choices build a bigger future.

We didn’t just mapped — we lived it.

🗺️ Βιώσιμη Ευρώπη – και ένα βιώσιμο Αγρίνιο

Το απόγευμα, αναλάβαμε μια αποστολή: να δημιουργήσουμε έναν χάρτη της Ευρώπης γεμάτο βιώσιμα προϊόντα και πρακτικές.

Σε ομάδες, οι συμμετέχοντες κατέγραψαν παραδείγματα από τις χώρες τους — από το λινό της Λιθουανίας και τον φελλό της Πορτογαλίας μέχρι το ελληνικό ελαιόλαδο. Κάθε σημείο πάνω στον χάρτη ήταν μια ιστορία συνεργασίας μεταξύ ανθρώπου και φύσης.

Και μετά… βγήκαμε στο Αγρίνιο. Με ανοιχτά μάτια και περιέργεια, οι ομάδες ανακάλυψαν βιώσιμες πρακτικές στην καθημερινότητα της πόλης — από μικρά καταστήματα και οικολογικά προϊόντα, μέχρι γωνιές με δυνατότητες.

Δεν φτιάξαμε απλώς έναν χάρτη. Τον ζήσαμε.

Expression in nature

Some feelings are too big for words — so we gave them a canvas.

This morning in Agrinio’s city park, each pair of participants received a blank canvas and one mission: to paint what they felt, together. No instructions, no words. Just trust.

Side by side, they listened to each other’s movements, respected each color choice, and slowly built a silent conversation of shapes and emotion. Some laughed. Some painted slowly. Others let their brush run free. What emerged wasn’t just art — it was shared expression, pure and raw.

Before that, a dance Energizer woke up our bodies and helped us reconnect with joy. And after the painting, we laid out olive-harvesting cloths and did a spontaneous workshop in the open — learning by doing, talking, laughing.

Today reminded us that connection doesn’t always need language — just presence, curiosity, and an open heart.

🎨 Έκφραση στη φύση

Κάποια συναισθήματα δεν χωράνε σε λέξεις. Γι’ αυτό σήμερα, τους δώσαμε έναν καμβά.

Το πρωί, στο Πάρκο του Αγρινίου, κάθε ζευγάρι συμμετεχόντων πήρε έναν λευκό καμβά και μία αποστολή: να ζωγραφίσει αυτό που ένιωθε — μαζί. Χωρίς οδηγίες, χωρίς λόγια. Μόνο εμπιστοσύνη.

Άλλοι γελούσαν, άλλοι ζωγράφιζαν σιωπηλά. Κάποιοι δίσταζαν στην αρχή, αλλά μετά οι κινήσεις ενώθηκαν, τα χρώματα συντονίστηκαν, και γεννήθηκε μια άφωνη συζήτηση γεμάτη συναίσθημα. Δεν ήταν απλώς τέχνη — ήταν μοιρασμένη έκφραση, αληθινή και αυθόρμητη.

Πριν απ’ αυτό, ένα χορευτικό Energizer μας ξύπνησε με χαρά και κίνηση. Και μετά, στρώσαμε παραδοσιακά πανιά ελαιοσυλλογής και κάναμε ένα αυθόρμητο εργαστήριο κάτω από τα δέντρα — με πράξη, γέλιο και παρέα.

Μια υπενθύμιση πως δεν χρειάζονται πάντα λόγια για να συνδεθούμε. Αρκεί να είμαστε παρόντες.

Latvia: Path of Olive Dissemination Event

The Latvian team successfully organized a dissemination event at the Secondary School Union in Latvia, reaching students from across the region.

They shared their experience from Path of Olive — what they learned about sustainability, olives, and rural life in Greece, the values of Erasmus+, and how informal learning and intercultural exchange can shape the way young people see the world.

Through photos, stories, and reflections, they brought a piece of Agrinio to Latvia — from the olive trees and lakes to the warm hospitality of the local community.

An inspiring example of how one local experience can travel across borders and spark new connections. 🌍🌿

Λετονία: Εκδήλωση Διάδοσης του Path of Olive

Η ομάδα της Λετονίας διοργάνωσε με επιτυχία μια εκδήλωση διάδοσης στο Δίκτυο Λυκείων της Λετονίας, με τη συμμετοχή μαθητών από διάφορες περιοχές.

Παρουσίασαν όσα έμαθαν στο Path of Olive για τη βιωσιμότητα, την ελιά και τη ζωή στην ελληνική ύπαιθρο, τις αξίες του Erasmus+ τη σημασία της μη τυπικής μάθησης και τη μαγεία της διαπολιτισμικής ανταλλαγής.

Με φωτογραφίες, προσωπικές αφηγήσεις και συναισθήματα, μετέφεραν στην αίθουσα λίγη από τη ζεστασιά και τη φύση του Αγρινίου — από τα ελαιόδεντρα μέχρι τη φιλοξενία των κατοίκων.

Μια υπενθύμιση ότι οι εμπειρίες των νέων μπορούν να ταξιδεύουν και να εμπνέουν πέρα από σύνορα. 🌍🌿

Μια μέρα για το μέλλον, τις ιστορίες και τα χρώματα

Η εβδομάδα μπήκε δυναμικά με το Climate Fresk workshop — ένα εργαστήριο που μας βοήθησε να δούμε τις αιτίες και τις επιπτώσεις της κλιματικής αλλαγής πιο καθαρά. Μετά από ένα energizer, χωριστήκαμε σε ομάδες και δουλέψαμε με ερωτήσεις, κάρτες και πολλή συνεργασία. Στο τέλος, κάθε ομάδα παρουσίασε τα συμπεράσματά της και άνοιξε έναν μεγάλο διάλογο με τους υπόλοιπους. Το απόγευμα, συνεχίσαμε με έναν αναστοχασμό στο πάρκο, όπου ακούσαμε τις σκέψεις και τις αγωνίες των συμμετεχόντων για το περιβάλλον.

Το απόγευμα μας ταξίδεψε στην κεντρική πλατεία του Αγρινίου, όπου κάθε δίδυμο συμμετεχόντων μοιράστηκε μια ιστορία ζωής — του άλλου. Ένα εργαστήριο storytelling γεμάτο αυθεντικότητα και ανθρώπινη σύνδεση.

Μετά από ένα σύντομο διάλειμμα, επιστρέψαμε στον χώρο μας και βάλαμε χρώμα στη μέρα με ζωγραφική σε κεραμικά. Ήταν μια ώρα δημιουργίας και χαλάρωσης, με πινέλα και φαντασία.

Το βράδυ έκλεισε με τις διαπολιτισμικές βραδιές της Ελλάδας, της Πολωνίας και της Πορτογαλίας. Φαγητό, χορός, μουσικές και παραδόσεις — μια γιορτή διαφορετικότητας και κοινότητας.

A Day of Climate, Stories, and Color

We started the day with the Climate Fresk workshop, diving deep into the causes and consequences of climate change. After an energizer, we split into four teams, each working on its climate mission. Later, the teams presented their reflections, sparking meaningful conversations and lots of questions. We wrapped up the morning with a peaceful reflection session at the park, where participants shared their feelings and concerns about sustainability and our planet’s future.

In the afternoon, we headed to Agrinio’s central square for a storytelling session. In pairs, each person listened to their partner’s story — and then shared it with the group. It was a simple but moving way to connect.

Later on, back at the venue, it was time for pottery painting — a colorful space for creativity and expression.

The day ended with a joyful celebration: the intercultural nights of Greece, Poland, and Portugal, filled with food, dances, songs, laughter, and the magic of sharing cultures

Μια μέρα μέσα στο δάσος…

Η Κυριακή μάς βρήκε στο Δασύλειο του Αγρινίου, περπατώντας για ώρες μέσα στη φύση. Δεν είχαμε πίεση, μόνο ρυθμό. Καθαρίσαμε το μονοπάτι, σταματούσαμε σε σημεία θέας, παρατηρούσαμε, μιλούσαμε ή απλώς μέναμε σιωπηλοί.

Ήταν από αυτές τις μέρες που δεν χρειάζεσαι πολλά — μόνο ανθρώπους γύρω σου, καθαρό αέρα και ένα μονοπάτι να σε οδηγεί. Στο τέλος της διαδρομής, μας περίμενε ένα μικρό δώρο της φύσης: δέντρα γεμάτα ελιές, σαν φυσική υπενθύμιση του ίδιου του νοήματος του προγράμματος.

🌳 A day inside the forest…

Sunday led us deep into the forest of Agrinio. We spent hours walking slowly, breathing deeply. We cleared the trail, paused at viewpoints, listened to the sounds around us, and shared quiet moments together.

There was no rush — just rhythm, presence, and connection. At the end of the path, nature surprised us with rows of olive trees full of fruit, a quiet and beautiful reminder of the essence of this whole journey.

🎥 Το Αγρίνιο μέσα από τις φωνές των ανθρώπων του

Το απόγευμα ξεκίνησε με ένα energizer στη Γλυπτοθήκη και μια αποστολή που μας ενέπνευσε: χωριστήκαμε σε ομάδες και βγήκαμε στην πόλη για να γνωρίσουμε τους ανθρώπους της. Ρωτήσαμε, ακούσαμε και μάθαμε πώς βλέπουν την ελιά, τη φύση, τη βιωσιμότητα και την καθημερινότητα τους στο Αγρίνιο.

Αυτές οι μικρές αλλά ουσιαστικές συνομιλίες έγιναν η καρδιά του προγράμματος — και το θεμέλιο της ταινίας μικρού μήκους που ετοιμάζουμε. Η πόλη μάς μίλησε, κι εμείς τη μεταφέρουμε με σεβασμό και αγάπη.

Το βράδυ συνεχίσαμε τη σύνδεση με την τοπική κοινωνία, συμμετέχοντας στο πρώτο Youth Festival του Αγρινίου, που διοργανώθηκε από το . Εκεί, γνωρίσαμε ακόμα περισσότερους νέους της περιοχής, ανταλλάξαμε ιδέες και γιορτάσαμε μαζί την κοινή μας ενέργεια.

Και λίγο αργότερα, κλείσαμε τη μέρα στο γήπεδο, βλέποντας τον Παναιτωλικό. Εκεί, νιώσαμε την αληθινή έννοια της συμμετοχής — της κοινότητας. Δεν ήμασταν πια επισκέπτες. Ήμασταν μέσα στην καρδιά του Αγρινίου.

🎥 Agrinio spoke — and we listened

Our afternoon began with an energizer and a meaningful mission: in small teams, we set out across the city to meet its people. We asked questions, listened deeply, and discovered how locals see nature, olives, sustainability, and everyday life.

These real conversations became the soul of our short film and the heart of our project. Agrinio opened up to us — and we’re carrying those voices forward.

In the evening, we took part in Agrinio’s 1st Youth Festival, organized by . We mingled with local young people, exchanged ideas, laughed, danced, and celebrated the shared energy of this beautiful place.

And then came the match — Panetolikos, the local football team. In the stands, surrounded by fans, we didn’t feel like visitors anymore. We felt like we belonged.

Το Σάββατο ξεκίνησε όπως ξεκινούν οι ωραίες μέρες: με γέλια, τρυφερά βλέμματα και μια ζεστή ομάδα που πλέον δεν χρειάζεται πολλά για να συνδεθεί. Μικρό energizer στον σταθμο λεωφορείων και φύγαμε για το χωριό Γραμματικό.

Εκεί μας περίμενε κάτι αυθεντικό. Ένα ελαιοτριβείο που δεν είναι απλώς μηχανές και λάδι — είναι οικογένεια, ιστορία και βιώσιμες πρακτικές. Ο κ. Βοΐδης και ο γιος του μας έδειξαν βήμα-βήμα πώς γεννιέται το ελαιόλαδο — και κυρίως, πώς τίποτα δεν πάει χαμένο. Μιλήσαμε για το χωριό, τη ζωή στην ύπαιθρο, τα όνειρα και τις δυσκολίες των νέων στην ελληνική επαρχία. Μας κέρασαν φρέσκο λάδι, αλλά κυρίως μας χάρισαν τον χρόνο τους.
Ύστερα, στο Καινούργιο, περπατήσαμε μέσα από ελαιώνες και στενά — φύση παντού. Το τοπίο προς το αρχοντικό της λίμνης ήταν βγαλμένο από καρτ ποστάλ. Εκεί ξεκίνησε το εργαστήριο βίντεο και φωτογραφίας: οι συμμετέχοντες έγιναν ομάδα παραγωγής και άρχισαν να «χτίζουν» την ταινία μας, αποτυπώνοντας τη φύση, τη σύνδεση και την ουσία του τόπου μέσα από τον δικό τους φακό.

📸 Ό,τι ζήσαμε, έγινε εικόνα. Κι ό,τι καταγράψαμε, έγινε μνήμη.

Saturday began just the way good days should — with warm smiles, easy laughs, and a group that now feels more like a team. A short energizer at the bus station, and we were off to the village of Grammatikou.

There, we didn’t just visit a factory. We stepped into a story. The Boidis family olive mill welcomed us with open hearts, showing how olive oil is made — sustainably, respectfully, and with love for the land. We tasted fresh oil straight from the press, asked questions, and listened to stories about rural life, youth challenges, and everyday wisdom.
Then, we reached the village of Kainourio. Surrounded by olive groves and peaceful trails, the walk toward the lakeside felt like stepping into a postcard. The scenery in “Archontiko tis Limnis” was pure poetry.

That’s where our video and photography workshop began. Cameras clicked, ideas flew, and the participants turned into a creative crew — capturing the essence of nature, community, and their own emotional journey, shot by shot.

📸 What we lived became image. What we captured became memory.

🎶MELODIES OF UNITY🎶 🇲🇹

In October 2025, young people from different European countries gathered in Malta to take part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Melodies of Unity.”
During the project, we explored meaningful topics such as the refugee crisis and how music can unite us, bridging our differences regardless of our backgrounds. Through workshops, discussions, and creative activities, we discovered the power of music as a universal language that connects people beyond borders.

Alongside our learning experience, we also had the chance to explore the beautiful island of Malta, its culture, and its breathtaking scenery, which made the exchange even more memorable.

At the beginning of November, we held a dissemination event in Athens, where we shared the outcomes of the project with friends and family. We discussed what we learned in Malta and spread the spirit and values of Erasmus+ — unity, understanding, and cultural exchange.

🎭 16/10 – Όταν η Σκηνή Είναι Παντού
Η τρίτη μέρα του “Path of Olive” μάς δίδαξε τι σημαίνει προσαρμογή με δημιουργία και σύνδεση με ψυχή.

Η μέρα ξεκίνησε με ένα θεατρικό εργαστήριο — γεμάτο κίνηση, αυτοσχεδιασμό και εμπιστοσύνη. Μέσα από ρόλους, χιούμορ και ανοιχτότητα, ήρθαμε πιο κοντά. Οι συμμετέχοντες εξέφρασαν τον εαυτό τους πέρα από λέξεις — με σώμα, βλέμμα, παρουσία.

Αργότερα, συνεχίσαμε με ένα workshop για σε μορφή θεατρικής παρουσίασης. Μάθαμε γελώντας και συνεργαζόμενοι, εξερευνώντας περιβαλλοντικά θέματα με φαντασία.

Το απόγευμα ήρθε η στιγμή να αγγίξουμε το χώμα — κυριολεκτικά. Στο εικαστικό εργαστήριο με πηλό, οι συμμετέχοντες έδωσαν μορφή στις ιδέες και τα συναισθήματά τους. Μέσα από τη δημιουργία, ένιωσαν τη γη και τη συνεργασία στα χέρια τους. Το τραπέζι γέμισε σχέδια, συζητήσεις και χαμόγελα.

Η μέρα έκλεισε με τη διαπολιτισμική βραδιά της Λετονίας, Λιθουανίας και Τουρκίας. Τραγούδια, σνακ, χοροί και παιχνίδια έγιναν τρόποι για να πούμε: we are same and different at the same time

🎭 16/10 – When the Stage Is Everywhere
Day 3 of “Path of Olive” reminded us that when plans shift, creativity takes the lead.

The morning began with a theatre workshop — movement, improvisation, trust. Participants stepped into new roles and closer to one another. Through laughter and shared silence, something powerful emerged.

Later, we turned our sustainability workshop into a stage: group presentations became short performances. Agriculture, water use, and environmental awareness met storytelling and humor.

In the afternoon, we turned inward and grounded — quite literally — with a clay art workshop. Participants expressed themselves through sculpture, shaping ideas and emotions with their hands. The clay became a medium of creativity and connection — a language beyond words.

And as night fell, we gathered for the intercultural evening of Latvia, Lithuania, and Turkey. Music, traditional snacks, dances, and joy — all woven together into a night of cultural exchange that didn’t feel foreign at all.
