*REPORT ON THE RED1 SITE VISIT*
Date of Visit: 18th June, 2026.
*Introduction*
A site visit was conducted by the RED1 team and the Construction Monitor from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE). The primary purpose of the visit was to inspect the proposed school site, take measurements, and assess the suitability of the land for future educational development.
*Observations and Findings*
During the visit, the team was taken around the proposed site where coordinates were recorded and measurements were taken. The measurements obtained during this exercise differed from the initial measurements recorded earlier.
The newly recorded site dimensions are approximately 100 meters by 100 meters, compared to the initial measurement of 50 meters by 70 meters. The expansion in the proposed size was considered necessary to accommodate the long-term development needs of the institution, including facilities for Lower Basic (Primary), Upper Basic, and Senior Secondary School levels.
Furthermore, the larger land allocation would provide adequate space for essential educational and recreational facilities such as:
Library
School garden
Multi-purpose hall
Market area
Playground and other supporting infrastructure
*Discussion on Sports Facilities*
The issue of a football field/playground was also discussed. It was noted that the existing community field remains accessible and can serve both the school and the wider community. This arrangement would help maximize the use of available resources while promoting community-school collaboration.
*Documentation*
The team emphasized that for proper documentation and future development purposes, the allocated land portion should be officially documented and registered in the name of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE).
*Conclusion*
The discussions and observations made during the visit remain preliminary and are subject to further consultation. Community representatives informed the visit
