📢 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS – FIRST WEEKLY STREET IFTAR

As salamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh dear brothers and sisters,

Alhamdulillah, we are set for our first weekly Street Iftar tomorrow, Sunday 22nd February 2026, which will be held in Brikama.

We are calling on dedicated volunteers to join us in preparing and distributing Iftar meals to the community.

🕖 Meeting Time: 7:00 AM (immediately after Fajr prayer)
📍 Meeting Point: We will gather after Fajr so we can start preparations early.
🚗 Transportation: A vehicle will depart from Westfield to Brikama to pick up volunteers. Transportation is completely FREE.

Let us come together in unity and service to earn the blessings of this noble month. Your time and effort can make a big difference.

🤝 A Tradition of Giving, Year After Year

For many years, the Muslim Youths Charity Foundation (M.Y.C.F) has consistently supported needy families during the blessed month of Ramadan. This year again, by the grace of Allah, we plan to continue this noble tradition.

In Ramadan 2026, we aim to provide food packages to 30 needy families, helping them observe Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind.

✨ “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person.” (Hadith)

MYCF Second Weekly Street Iftar – Serving Over 500 People in Serekunda Market

Alhamdulillah! Last night, Muslim Youth Charity Foundation (MYCF) successfully held our second weekly Street Iftar at the heart of Serekunda Market, where we served over 500 people a warm meal of bread with beans, dates, hot tea, and water.

This initiative is made possible through the generosity of our donors and the unwavering support of our main sponsor, Takaful Insurance Company Limited. May Allah reward you all abundantly and multiply your blessings!

As Ramadan continues, so does our mission—to feed, support, and uplift those in need. Together, we are making a difference, one meal at a time.

MYCF Street Iftar at Brikama Box Bar – A Night of Generosity and Blessings

Yesterday, the Muslim Youth Charity Foundation (MYCF) successfully hosted a Street Iftar at Brikama Box Bar, providing meals to over 500 commuters and passersby stuck in traffic on their way home.

This heartwarming initiative was sponsored by our valued partner, Takaful Insurance, along with generous contributions from anonymous donors. Their support made it possible to extend a helping hand to those in need during this blessed month.

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and MYCF members for their dedication and sacrifices. May Allah (SWT) reward you all abundantly and bless our donors with endless barakah. Aameen!

Dear MYCF Members and Friends,

As salamu Alaikum warahmatullah wa barakatuhu

Alhamdulillah, we have successfully completed the food package distribution, benefiting 35 needy families. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners and members who contributed, whether in cash or kind—your generosity made this possible.

We also want to sincerely apologize to those whose recommendations were not selected. We truly wish we could accommodate all, but unfortunately, we only achieved 30% of our overall budget, which limited our reach. However, we have kept the list of recommended families in our database, and in shaa Allah, as soon as we secure sufficient funding in the future, we will include them.

Up next is our weekly street Iftar in Shaa Allah

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR BROTHER MUHAMED AL AMIN MARONG

With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved brother, Muhammed Al Amin Marong, a devout member of the Muslim Youths Charity Foundation. His dedication to serving others and his unwavering faith were an inspiration to us all. He was a man of kindness, humility, and generosity, always striving to uplift those in need. His good deeds and selfless service will forever remain in our hearts.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and reward him for the countless lives he touched. Ameen.

As we reflect on his life, let us take this as a reminder to follow the right path and dedicate ourselves to good deeds. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:

“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging.” (Qur’an 18:107)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Sahih Muslim)

Let us honor Muhammed Al Amin Marong’s legacy by continuing to do good, helping those in need, and striving for righteousness. May Allah guide us all to the straight path.

As we prepare for our weekly street Iftar with MYCF, we invite volunteers to join us in preparing and serving meals for those in need.

We are looking for a strong team of 15 dedicated members (both brothers and sisters) who can commit to helping every week from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

If you would like to be part of this initiative:

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: RECOMMEND A FAMILY FOR OUR CHARITY FOOD PACKAGE 📢

Dear MYCF Members,

As part of our commitment to supporting those in need, we invite you to recommend a needy family (miskeen) eligible for our charity food package. Please ensure that the family meets the following criteria:

✅ Must be a family-bearing person, not an individual
✅ Must be genuinely in need (miskeen)
✅ Should not have received a charity food package elsewhere
✅ Widows are given priority
✅ Families with sick husbands are given priority

🔹 Transparency & Accountability:
To maintain fairness, all members recommending families must indicate their name, the name of the recommended family, and their contact number in the following format:

Please submit your recommendations as soon as possible. Let’s work together to ensure our support reaches those who need it most.
