This election is about which candidate has a better plan to reduce the cost of living of Gambians. 78% of voters identify cost of living as a key determinant of their vote in December 2026, followed by Security and National Stability at 55%, Health Care at 50%, Electricity and Water Supply at 35%. The undecided voter population would highly likely vote on these core socio-economic issues.

Public sentiments on who currently stands the best chance to win the 2026 presidential election has shifted significantly since August 2025.

Note: Some respondents believe a candidate stands a better chance to win but yet prefer to vote for another candidate. This question concerns the respondent's perception and not intention.

Similar to Barrow, Darboe's candidacy acceptance rose from 28% in 2025 to 46% in 2026. Voter preferences on Darboe's bid for another election saw a positive increase compared to last year when 58% said 'No' to his candidature.

Barrow is comfortably leading in Basse, Kuntaur and Banjul, while Darboe leads in Mansakonko with a huge margin and slightly in Kerewan. Bensouda narrowly leads Brikama, which still remains a battle ground while maintaining a slight lead in Kanifing. What an election this would be?
