Today, we celebrate one of our own, a brilliant son of the soil whose academic journey continues to shine as a beacon of ambition and perseveranc Baba Touba, born and raised in the quiet village of Kandonku, Foni, has once again made history-this time graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Business and Science in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from Rutgers University, USA.

As the Head of Research for the Patriotic Youth Movement (PYM), Touba has not only served with distinction but has also embodied the very principles of excellence, discipline, and purpose that our movement stands for.

From his early days to walking the halls of New York University, earning the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, and now capping it all off with another sterling academic feat, Touba has shown what is possible when discipline meets determination.

Congratulations, Touba. Your achievements are not just yours,they belong to a whole generation watching and learning.

🚨 Important Public Safety Alert 🚨

We, as a youth movement committed to the health and safety of Gambians, are deeply concerned about a recent video circulating online. The video, shared by comedian and politician "Kitabu", features the use of motor oil for cooking.

This is a serious violation of the Food Safety and Quality Act in The Gambia. Here's why:

Toxic and Dangerous: Motor oil contains harmful chemicals that release toxic fumes when heated. These fumes can cause respiratory issues, poisoning, and other serious health problems.

Fire Hazard: Motor oil is flammable and could cause a dangerous fire if it gets too hot on a stove.

Health Risks: Ingesting or absorbing motor oil can lead to organ damage, skin irritation, and even poisoning.

Public Responsibility: As an influencer, "Kitabu" has a responsibility to promote safe products. By sharing unsafe practices like cooking with motor oil, he risks harming the public.

We urge "WKitabu" and all influencers to research products thoroughly before recommending them. The Food Safety Act exists to protect the health of every Gambian, and promoting harmful practices violates these laws.
