Great news!
The successful completion of the second phase of the free cataract camp in Kaur has restored sight for many patients in The Gambia.

Over 90 patients were screened.

55 patients were diagnosed with cataracts.

All 55 patients underwent successful cataract surgery.

This is a significant achievement and a testament to the hard work of the Alhuda Foundation, HHRD, and the medical team involved.

Charles Jow memorial Academy approved the wearing of veil by students 🌟

Charles jow academy is are excited to announce a significant milestone at Charles Jow Memorial Academy! After years of thoughtful discussion and advocacy, the Board of Governors has officially approved the wearing of veils by students on campus. This decision marks a step forward in embracing cultural and religious diversity within our school community.

A special thanks goes to the PTA and to Ustass Sheikh Chebbo Ogoo Cham and Sheikh Hamma Jaiteh, whose insightful preaching during the school's Islamic Conference played a pivotal role in bringing about this positive change. Their dedication and wisdom have truly made a lasting impact.

Here's a glimpse of our students proudly embracing their new outfits. 📸✨

Not only valentine but anything that promotes fornication is haram. How can very young boys and girls be involved in expressing their loves to one another without getting married. A whole lot of the youths are losing their virginity on this same day. Let's forget about the Islamic perspective. Isn't this evil? Celebrating this day with your spouse is the highest form of Immaturity. It's childish. Love must be endless. It's celebrated even without flowers and gifts. Be merciful, appreciative, caring, lovely, compassionate and focus on how to build a house in Jannah as a couple. This is how you express love and, on a daily basis. "Li jigg toubaab bu gomut
, Jigut la yow Muslim bi", I advise.
