We had a 1 year celebration today. As clinic staff, volunteers and board members we came together on zoom to talk about what we’ve achieved together; to thank each other, and to tell stories. There were quite a few tears, moving tales of how far people come & how vociferously they recommend the medicine at our clinic. And funny stories from Sambujang who is always smiling broadly and is the host of all hosts (greeting the patients at the door and the volunteer homeopaths in zoom.). He has been with the project in one role or another since it started in 2012! He’s a grown man now and the proud host.

So many patients have been served this year. Lives and livelihoods have been saved! We’ve all worked hard, but none harder than the Gambian clinic staff who are there 9-4, 5 days a week. It’s their life and their living. They live their work, and it feeds their families …

They worked through the night.
No spotlight. No applause. Just purpose.

Hour after hour, through darkness and fatigue, the team stayed with the task, focused on one outcome.

And then it happened.

Water!

In the early hours of this morning, they packed up and left, knowing a turning point had been reached.

They’ll be back tomorrow to continue what’s been started.

This is what commitment looks like when no one is watching.

This is how real change is built patiently, quietly, with intention.

Water is flowing!

And the journey continues.

The work didn’t stop when the sun went down.

It carried on into the night, steady hands, focused hearts, and a shared commitment to see this through.

And as the day closes, our clinic board chairman, Pierre Gomez, shares a message of gratitude, one that reflects the heart of this entire journey.

This project has never been about one person.

What a fantastic first day back in The Gambia! The heat and humidity certainly hit me as soon as I arrived, but the warmth of the community made it all worthwhile. On my way to the clinic, I had a few important meetings to attend, but I was thrilled to finally meet all the dedicated staff at the clinic.

Together, we set up new webcams on stands which will significantly improve how volunteers view patients while handling their cases. This donation is a game-changer for our work here!

Untreated Goitre patient, came to the our clinic, treated with homeopathy by our online homeopaths. Two weeks later she came back for more remedies. What an amazing result, homeopathy changing lives.
