Day 2 Highlights: Inauguration of 3 Solar Powered Water Boreholes for 3 Villages!
Monday, December 2, 2024, was a day of celebration and progress as KAG and PAMANGO officially inaugurated key water projects that will have a lasting impact on the communities.
We kicked off the day with the official opening of the Laibeh K***a water project. The community welcomed us with jubilation, showcasing their excitement and gratitude for the new access to clean water.
By 11:00 AM, we reached Gadafaro, where we were met with a grand celebration. Students from the nearby Fatoto Upper and High School, who also benefit from the new water system, joined the festivities. This project will provide critical support to more than 700 students who rely on the setup whenever the school runs out of water—a challenge highlighted during a later visit to the school.
Afterward, we drove back to Kussun for a well-earned lunch at 2:00 PM, reflecting on the morning’s accomplishments and the lives that will be improved by these initiatives.
At 5:00 PM, we were once again greeted with joy as we inaugurated the Temanto borehole project. The celebrations continued as the communities expressed their thanks for the positive change brought to their villages.
The day concluded with a delicious dinner at 8:00 PM, followed by a lively drum circle at 9:00 PM, where everyone gathered to celebrate with music, dance, and unity under the stars.
Each stop was filled with incredible energy, joy, and gratitude, reminding us all of the power of community and collaboration.
