We have a membership of over 150 young entrepreneurs with registered business in The Gambia.

The African Youth Entrepreneurship Academy AYEA is a Registered International Youth Organization and was founded during the 3rd Pan African Youth Conference 2019 held in Banjul-Gambia in March 2019 Organized by The AFRICAN YOUTH COMMISSION, with the sole aim of placing young people through entrepreneurship development to enhance and foster economic security for young people that will, in turn, tra

nslate to national development. AYEA has its headquarters in Banjul, The Gambia, and Sub Office in Ghana. Some of our partners in The Gambia includes, The National Enterprise Development Initiative (NEDI) under the ministry of Youths and Sport and The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry – GCCI. VISIONS

To provide technical entrepreneurship support from grassroots level for young aspiring entrepreneurs, to marginalize youths with assertive and development skills in Africa who would be interested in entrepreneurship. MISSION

The mission of the organization is to promote the interaction and advancements in innovation and entrepreneurship development within Africa and address social economic problems in the society that affects the young people.

Our team engaged in impactful activities with the Gambia Armed Force, amongst other activities. We also celebrated a milestone with Youdum Barack Upper Basic School 🎓!
Our Executive Director Abu Maryam Wa Habiba was honored to be Keynote Speaker & Guest of Honor at the launch of their Commerce Club.
He shared insights on building organizations, drawing from AYEA's journey 🇬🇲.
We pledged ongoing support and guidance.

Empowering Lives: Vocational Training for Persons with Disabilities

Abdoulie D Bah on behalf of AYEA was contacted by THE GAMBIA
MINISTRY OF GENDER, CHILDREN AND SOCIAL WELFARE for a transformative project aimed at empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in The Gambia! Our dedicated consultant, Abdoulie D. Bah, (Abu Maryam Wa Habiba) have been actively involved in facilitating vocational training and skills development workshops across three key regions: Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), Brikama, and the Lower River Region (LRR).

These workshops are designed to equip over 300 individuals with essential skills in technology and entrepreneurship, fostering greater independence and self-employment opportunities. We are committed to ensuring good gender representation and inclusivity throughout this initiative.

We would like to express our gratitude to the collaborative partners associated with this project. Your support has been invaluable in helping us achieve our objectives and empower PWDs across the country.

Key achievements of the project include:
✅ Providing participants with important knowledge and skills to enhance their employability.
✅ Supporting the Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities in gaining firsthand insights into the needs of PWDs.
✅ Inspiring and preparing PWDs to pursue their interests and develop their potentials.

Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication and hard work. Together, we are making strides towards a more inclusive and empowered community for all!

Today, we were honored to meet with the newly appointed Coordinator of TiKa under the Turkish Embassy. During our 1-hour meeting, our management team highlighted key aspects of possible partnership, paving the way for a fruitful collaboration.

A huge thank you to the coordinator and team for the warm reception and delicious Turkish tea! ☕️ We're looking forward to working together and exploring opportunities for mutual growth and development.

"Today, we successfully wrapped up a two-day onsite training for the American Corner Gambia as part of their Undoing Mentorship Program! 🤝

A huge thank you to our fantastic facilitator, Abu Maryam Wa Habiba, who led both sessions with expertise and enthusiasm!

On Day 1, we dove into the world of Financial Literacy and Profit Planning, equipping participants with essential skills to manage their finances and drive business growth. 📈💰

On Day 2, we focused on Pitching and Storytelling, helping participants craft compelling narratives and confidently present their ideas to potential investors and partners. 📢🎤
