CAPABLE BUILDING TRAINING DAY 6 01st April 2026.

The sixth day of the camp began with an early morning wake-up call at 6:30 a.m., led by the Scout Leader of the Day. Scouts observed morning prayers before changing into sportswear for the B.F.T., a fitness session aimed at promoting physical health and discipline among the scouts. After the exercise, the scouts returned to the school premises where breakfast was served, followed by classroom sessions.
Despite efforts by both scouts and trainers to continue with lessons as planned, the learning environment was disrupted by teargas from a protest in a residential area near the campsite. The situation temporarily affected the smooth running of classes, and as a result, a break was observed.
In the afternoon, the camp shifted focus to the practical aspects of topics covered earlier in the morning. The session was further enriched by a surprise visit from scouts of K.M., after coming from an earlier protest coverage in Brufut. Afterwards the activity focused on tracking signs, where scouts applied their knowledge in simulated real-life situations.
Later in the day, scouts participated in a beach cleaning exercise as part of community service, contributing to environmental cleanliness and safety. In the evening, sessions on fire lighting and cooking essential life skills were conducted, equipping the young scouts with practical survival knowledge.
The day concluded with a display of the skills learned. The young scouts were highly commended for their resilience, especially in overcoming the day’s challenges, and were praised for their dedication and active participation throughout the activities.
