As part of activities of our on-going Access to Water project in Lower River Region in partnership with and LRR, we trained the Water Management and Maintenance Committee of Buiba Sanukoli and Kaifa Baduma women's garden.
The training equipped them with skills and knowledge on:
1. Group Formation and Management
2. Development of by-laws
3. Financial contribution and management
4. Basic Maintenance of the borehole

The Committee expressed appreciation and commitment for the sustainability of the project.

Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation!
We are thrilled and excited once again to launch our new project, "Access to Clean Drinking Water," in Lower River Region in partnership Mama Africa for Gambia, Wilde Ganzen and for five (5) communities:
1. Jassobo village
2. Njoro Angalleh village
3. Njolfen village
4. Kaifa women garden
5. Buiba Sankolley Women garden

This project aims to improve access, promotes health, education and empowers women through time-saving and economic opportunities for productive gardening and enhances their economic independence.

Mama Africa for Gambia Foundation, in close collaboration with Rumba Community, CASA Gambia, and Change the Game Academy, has completed and handed over the project "The extension of additional water taps for wider access to clean drinking water in Rumba Community."

The project was a testament of the Bottom-Up Approach and Mobilizing Support Approach to Community Development, where the community took the lead in their own development as stakeholders.

The handover ceremony also involves community health education and screening for high blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes, in partnership with Sanyang Health Centre.

We look forward to more impactful and sustained changes in our communities.

✅Alumni Refresher training 2025
✅Mobilizing Support for a greater community impact

This week our members, Lamarana Jallow, the Advocacy and Community Engagement Officer and Fatoumata Jawara , Media Officer were part of the Alumni refresher training on Local Fund Raising and Mobilising Support.

The training brought together different organizations to Reflect, Reconnect, Learn and Exchange issues around Local Fund Raising and Mobilizing Support in their various organizations for better community impact and sustainability.

Special thanks to our Chairperson Jerreh Mannehfor insightful presentations/facilitation.

Wilde Ganzen in Partnership with CASA Gambia organizes a two training workshop on Linking and Learning for eighteen (18) CSO’s in The Gambia.

The theme of the training: Rooted in local realities and community needs, equip participants on participatory learning, knowledge exchange and peer to peer collaboration.

Jerreh Manneh president Mama Africa for Gambia Foundation serves as a facilitator, while Lamarana Jallow and Falaye Fulo Saidy both members of Mama Africa for Gambia foundation serves participants.

Special thanks to Wilde Ganzen and CASA Gambia, participants can now implore knowledge and skills to effective Project Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation through Community-Led.
