Cleaning the environment -Jigeeni Barra thank Oja waste management team with support of the youths, citizens in the Diaspora and the Kerewan Area Council. Oja is calling on the VDC and all other development and social groups in Barra to continue the comnunity sensitization on environmental cleaning and waste management.

Environmental Cleansing:
The cleaning exercise conducted by Oja waste management team have cleared the waste at a dumped site at Iceland zone in Barra.

The youths led by Oja and his team supported by Barra citizens in the Diaspora have made this task possible.

Jigeeni Barra acknowledged your combined efforts in ensuring that Barra have a clean, safe and conducive environment for both families in the communities as well as visitors far and Near

Special thanks to the Diaspora for the financial assistance to purchase the needed materials and the Area Council for providing them with a tractor to transport the waste as well as other equipments and other work materials.

Appeal is being made for the construction of a dumping area to avoid dumping the waste any how and everywhere.

We should all be aware that a clean environment promotes good health and well-being for both mother and child as well as the entire household therefore, it's a shared responsibility for all and sundry
