In partnership with Amnesty International Local Groups The Gambia and Kabakama VDC, we conducted an 🌱 Environmental Green-Up & Rights Awareness Campaign in Kabakama.

The activity focused on promoting environmental protection as a fundamental human right while encouraging community responsibility toward climate action and sustainable living. As part of the campaign, tree planting exercises were carried out at key locations in the community, which included our office.

🌳 These trees symbolize our collective commitment to safeguarding the environment for present and future generations, while reinforcing the link between a healthy environment and the realization of human rights.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Amnesty Basse Local Group for the partnership, and we look forward to more engagements.

Our Program Maanager Nfally Sarja Dampha and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer AbdouKarim Sarr did tremendously well in coordination.

Public Announcement: Enlistment of Immigration Officers for the Year 2025

The Gambia Immigration Department wishes to inform the general public that applications are open for the enlistment of officers for the year 2025. All interested applicants/candidates are required to fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria:

✅ Must be a Gambian
✅ Must possess a valid national ID card or passport
✅ Must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years (for general duty applicants)
✅ Must have a minimum of five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics in WASSCE
✅ Must be mentally and physically fit
✅ Must not have a criminal record
✅ University graduates, IT experts, technical skill professionals, and females are encouraged to apply
✅ Ability to speak at least two Local Languages, fluency in French and any other International languages will be an added advantage

The sale of application forms will commence on 16 October 2025 at a non-refundable cost of D500 at the following locations:

We’re excited to announce the official opening of our new Office and Poultry Production Complex in Kabakama Village, Upper River Region.

This milestone was fully supported by through the Gambia Pilot Program, marking a big step in our mission to promote youth empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.

We are equally grateful to the U.S. Embassy Banjul, The Gambia, whose (Poultry) empowered us to sustain our operations and purchase our own land through profits made, which is now beautifully developed through GamWorks’ support.

Our new facility will serve as a center for agribusiness innovation, youth training, and sustainable poultry production, driving change and opportunity in our community.

A big thank you to all our partners, supporters, and community members who made this dream possible. Together, we rise for a better Gambia.
