AfreeCAN: The Concept

AfreeCAN will work to achieve its goals by

Promoting and fostering the rights of the african child while focusing light on the urgency in the need to extirpate the impediments to their mental growth.

Employing a pragmatic approach towards educating the youth (with preference given to those in underprivileged spheres of communities) on their civic rights and responsibilities through socio-educational animation.

Introducing basic social and life skills to the youth that, at their most dynamic yet vulnerable ages, will equip them with the flexibility needed to study and/or successfully adapt to unfamiliar situations and develop their social relation skills.

Inculcating in the youth the importance of self-esteem as Africans, highlighting Africa’s rich history and contributions in civilisation; Solely African literature, history and case studies will be used as resources for this particular track due to the need of correspondence between the organisation’s target group and the objectives of the track.

Working with and pressuring the Gambian governement to aid in the provision of needed supplies to children in the targeted spheres and the granting of long-term awards/scholarships/aid to those who are both deserving and promising.

Facilitating annual seminars/workshops so as to encourage national and international conversations on the goals of the organisation and engage the public in achieving them.

Raising funds and receiving contributions to finance projects (e.g: Outreach programs, generous/sizeable seminars, construction of structure e.g: trauma units, etc) of the organisation.

Working with institutions and organisations that share the same goals as AfreeCAN to execute them in more effective ways and at larger scopes.

By the end of every year that the Organisation’s parent project (#IAmNotCrazyYOUARE) is facilitated, further research will be carried out (in forms of questionnaires, interviews, follow-ups on participants/award and aid recipients and other interactive means) in order to gain feedback and track the impact of the organisation’s presence.
