Sanna's Foundation For The Needy Is a registered non-profit foundation that is established to serve and support disaster struck & socially disadvantage individuals and families

March 7th 2010 there born a foundation which started formally as a community base charity in the Gambia. We aim to relieve suffering caused by natural disaster and human conflict, promote peace and understanding, and strengthen people’s capacity to help themselves. S.F.N has responded to several disasters and served tens of victims in various affected communities. Our main activity was to provide feeding to the less privilege within the communities which is known as Feed the Family Project. Soon, the foundation’s scope of operations expanded beyond to several sustainable human development projects and initiatives within the country such as: Educate a child, shelter for all, among others. Today, the foundation is assisting tens of families in the Gambia. Its operations are primarily funded by grass root donations from individuals, corporate sponsors, and various other grants. The dedicated volunteers of Foundation are the force behind the good work that the foundation delivers, who bring their individual experience to the benefit of the affected families. It also leverages preferential rates for relief equipment, logistics, and other needed supplies benefiting from global sourcing. S.F.N has been active in The Gambia for many years, and the flagship project is the Educate a Child. The foundation has been sending many children back to school, who in one way or the other would have been out in the streets engage in many unlawful or illegal activities. We believe that everyone have the right to education no matter your background.

Today marks another important milestone for Sanna’s Foundation for the Needy as we successfully distributed over 190 school bags to students across various schools within Sukuta.

This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting education and ensuring that every child has the basic tools needed to learn with confidence and dignity. We believe that a simple school bag can inspire hope, boost self-esteem, and encourage children to pursue their dreams without unnecessary barriers.
