Liberian Muslim Community Seeks Support to Build Quranic Memorization Centre and Orphanage
The Liberian Muslims Community in The Gambia has launched an appeal for donations and support towards the construction of a Quranic memorization centre and orphanage in The Gambia.
According to community leaders, the proposed project aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned and vulnerable children while also promoting Islamic education through Quran memorization. The centre is expected to serve as a place where children can learn, grow spiritually, and receive proper guidance to become responsible members of society.
The initiative will focus on supporting orphans by providing shelter, food, education, and moral upbringing, while also offering structured Quranic studies for students interested in memorizing the Holy Quran.
The community emphasized that the project is driven by a vision to empower young people through faith, education, and care, especially those who lack family support. They noted that such a centre would contribute positively to community development and help shape the future of many vulnerable children.
The Liberian Muslims Community in The Gambia is therefore calling on individuals, philanthropists, organisations, and the general public to support the initiative through donations, building materials, or any other form of assistance.
Community members expressed hope that with collective support, the dream of establishing the Quranic memorization centre and orphanage will soon become a reality, bringing hope and opportunity to children in need
