REFLECTION ON OUR SITE VISIT TO BALLINGHO AGRICULTURAL TRAINING CENTRE.

The site visit to the Ballingho Agricultural Training Centre in Central Baddibou District was more than just a site visit. It was an opportunity for participants to gain real-life experience, broaden their knowledge, and build meaningful connections with students and facilitators at the centre.

During the visit, participants engaged in fruitful discussions with facilitators on the ground. They had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the programmes offered by the centre, and understand the practical opportunities being created for young people across the country.

Beyond the discussions, participants were exposed to a range of practical agricultural activities, including:

🌾 Agro-food processing
🌱 Horticulture and gardening
🐑 Sheep farming
🐔 Poultry management

These practical experiences allowed participants to connect theory with reality and appreciate the importance of agriculture, skills development, and entrepreneurship in creating opportunities for young people.

Participants left the centre with new knowledge, practical experience, meaningful connections, and greater exposure to the possibilities within the agricultural sector.

This is what keeps the Lower Baddibou Children and Youth Committee moving forward. Creating opportunities for young people to learn, explore, connect, and grow.

Investing in young people today is investing in a stronger community tomorrow.
