For generations, our heritage, culture and history have lived through the stories we tell. Keeping those stories alive means continuously strengthening how we share them.
The Ninki Nanka Encounters team has successfully completed a one-week Storytelling Training for guides in Jufureh and Ndemban, focused on introducing new and engaging techniques for interpreting and communicating our cultural heritage.
Through practical exercises, creative storytelling methods and shared experiences, participants explored ways to make local history, traditions and community stories more engaging, memorable and meaningful for visitors…while preserving the authenticity and voices of the communities they represent.
The training forms part of our continued commitment to strengthening community-based tourism and empowering local guides to become confident storytellers and custodians of our heritage.
Our stories are our heritage. How we tell them keeps them alive.
