Who Are You?
Humans have always asked themselves this question: Who am I? What is the secret behind my existence? Why am I here? These are existential questions that knock on the doors of the mind and soul, prompting reflection and contemplation. Attempting to answer them without belief in God leaves life meaningless and leaves a person confused among conflicting theories that fail to provide a satisfying answer to the greatest truth: Why do we exist?
1. Reason Leads to Belief in God
The existence of the universe with its precise system, harmonious laws, and intricate structure cannot be a product of mere coincidence. Every system indicates a designer, and every design points to a creator. This is a rational principle that cannot be denied. If you see a beautifully built palace, with balanced colors and intricate decoration, could your mind accept that the wind and rain randomly came together to form it? Certainly not. So how can we accept that the vast universe, with its earth, sky, and stars, came into existence without a Creator?
Allah says:
"Or were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?" (Surah At-Tur 52:35).
This verse presents three possibilities:
1. That humans were created from nothing, which is logically impossible since every creation requires a creator.
2. That they created themselves, which is also impossible because nonexistence cannot bring itself into existence.
3. That they have a Creator who brought them into existence, and that Creator is Allah. This is the truth attested to by reason.
2. The Law of Causality and the Rejection of Meaninglessness
The law of causality, acknowledged by scientists in every field, proves that everything has a cause. If every machine has a manufacturer and every building has an engineer, then how can this vast universe, which operates with astonishing precision, exist without a Creator? A sound mind cannot accept such a notion.
