Is it already 21 years? What an incredible milestone! 🎉✨

Today, as Side by Side Organisation proudly marks its 21st Anniversary 🥳🎊, we reflect with gratitude and pride on a journey defined by impact, growth, and commitment. Over the past two decades, we have supported the education of hundreds of Gambians, planted tens of thousands of trees across all regions of the country, facilitated several educational exchange programs with partners in the United States, and implemented numerous high level advocacy and community development initiatives nationwide.

Through our thematic focus areas, we have also championed sexual and reproductive health and rights, working to empower young people and communities with knowledge, access, and advocacy to make informed decisions and live healthier lives 💙.

These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment of every individual who has contributed to sustaining and growing this organization. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our past and present members, volunteers, and partners 🙌🏾👏🏾. Your time, effort, and belief in our mission have been the driving force behind our success.

The Side by Side 2025 Summer Camp has officially come to an end!

Throughout the week, participants engaged in a variety of impactful activities — from food processing and entrepreneurship training to sessions on leadership and peacebuilding.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for their enthusiasm, to the trainers and facilitators for their dedication, and to our senior management team for their hard work in making the camp a success.

As we wrap up with the awarding of certificates, we’re hopeful that the knowledge and skills gained will be put into meaningful action in communities and beyond.

The journey doesn’t end here let’s continue to grow, lead, and move forward.

SBSO Diversity Forum | Summer Camp 2025

Under the theme “The Role of Young People in Peaceful Conversations and Conflict Resolution,” SBSO hosted an engaging Diversity Forum at the summer camp ground in Bakary Sambuya.

The forum encouraged young participants to reflect on how they can be agents of peace, understanding, and inclusion in their communities. From addressing everyday conflicts to challenging harmful stereotypes.

We extend our sincere thanks to our panelists, Mr. Omar Saibo Camara and Mr. Musa K. Ceesay, for their thoughtful contributions, and to all the participants whose active involvement made the session so impactful.

We also thank our Senior Management Team for their hard work and commitment in ensuring the forum’s success.

Opening Ceremony of the Side by Side 2025 Summer Camp

Earlier today, the opening ceremony of the Side by Side 2025 Summer Camp was held at Bakary Sambuya Community Nursery School, officially marking the start of a week-long initiative focused on youth learning and development. The event began with individual prayers and was attended by organizers and facilitators.

The camp, scheduled to run from July 26 to 31, will engage participants in a range of activities centered on entrepreneurship and diversity, aimed at building skills, confidence, and community awareness.
