The Future is Female is a non profitable and a women focus foundation which is geared towards empowering women and girls through sports. The foundation is an all inclusive and non discriminatory foundation that aims at raising awareness on the societal role of sports, challenging gender norms and fight for equal opportunity for both genders. As IWD Marked a global celebration of the social, econom
ic, cultural and political achievements of women, the day also marked a call to action for accelerating women equality in all areas including sports, Therefore, we intend to launch the foundation on IWD by organizing a volleyball fitness tournament and a trailer of sports athletes who will give a synopsis of the impact sports have in their lives. For far too long Gender inequity and discrimination remain deeply entrenched and widely tolerated in sports. Even though there’s a huge development on the eradication of gender discrimination in sports however, there’s still more room for improvement. Thus, TFF aims to breach these inequalities and discrimination. International authorities, from the World Bank to the United Nations, agree that the most effective way to fight poverty in the world is to help girls and women. Research has shown that if you invest in girls, you invest in society because the education increased earnings and human development of adolescent girls have a direct impact upon their families. This is Because women often serve as primary caretakers, every penny invested in a girl also benefits her family and her community. The importance of women sports cannot be overemphasized. Sports helps in building the self confidence of women and girls, it helps develop their leadership skills and promote economic growth. It also serves as a source of income for them.
