Coastal Plastic Free, The Gambia The project seeks to engage in plastic cleanup and introduce a solution to end plastic disposal.

The project seeks to develop and to introduce a solution, by which plastic waste products is recycled to produce new products, based on the renewable energy technology to turn trash into treasure instead allowing trash ending up in the river. The project must provide a process line that include solutions which allow the processes and recycling of the collected waste products that enable manufactur

ing of new local commodities or products like buckets plastic shoes etc, which will add value and opportunities to the people in the community to benefit from the recycled products. The project will provide a way to be able to produce different types of products, based on the needs of the local people in the community that will allow design processes from the local people as well as the establishment of business model and its operational aspect by the people in the community. With this development, it will help in limiting the amount of waste dumping in the river or streets which end up in the river and then to ocean.

Coastal Plastic Free, The Gambia will be embarking on a beach cleanup on Saturday , 11th March 2023. The Cleaning will start by 9am at Nefertiti beach site in Banjul. The general public are all invited to come and participate.

We are committed in ocean pollution and climate change through action and awareness.
