Weekend Set-setal on the Kotu Stream.

Together with NEA and Ward Councillors, we mobilized hundreds of volunteers for a weekend cleanup exercise along the Kotu Stream.

It was also refreshing to see the waste management equipment we provided to communities a few weeks ago being put to good use.

This was our own way of commemorating International Coastal Cleanup Day.

A big thank you to all the volunteers, community members, Ward Councillors and NEA for making the cleanup a success.

Happening now.

A major flood disaster simulation exercise is underway at the Kotu Stream. The exercise is jointly organized by NDMA, Gambia Fire and Rescue Services, Red Cross and other partners, with funding from the WACA Project, to test community readiness, response and coordination in the event of flooding.
