Independence Day Message – 6th March 2026

On this historic occasion of Ghana’s 69th Independence Day, the leadership of INTYON extends warmest greetings to our esteemed Board Members, dedicated Staff, valued Partners, and the entire population of Ghana.

Today, we celebrate not only the day our nation attained freedom but also the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of our forebears who envisioned a sovereign and prosperous Ghana. Their resilience laid the foundation upon which we continue to build.

As we commemorate this 6th day of March 2026, may we be reminded that independence is not merely a historical event; it is a continuing responsibility. It calls us to unity beyond differences, service above self, integrity in leadership, and commitment to national development.

At INTYON, we remain dedicated to empowering young people, strengthening partnerships, and contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s progress. We believe that the true spirit of independence lives in innovation, collaboration, and the collective determination to create opportunities for all.

To our Board Members, thank you for your strategic guidance.
To our Staff, thank you for your dedication and hard work.
To our Partners, thank you for your trust and collaboration.
To every Ghanaian, thank you for your resilience and hope.

May this Independence Day inspire renewed patriotism, bold vision, and shared commitment to building a Ghana that reflects excellence, equity, and opportunity for generations to come.

Happy 69th Independence Day, Ghana!

God bless our homeland Ghana, and make our nation great and strong. 🇬🇭

❤️ Love is in the Air, But Let’s Keep it Safe

Happy Valentine’s Day! As the Executive Director of Integrated Youth Needs and Welfare (INTYON), I love seeing the energy, the flowers, and the genuine connections this day brings to our community. But as someone dedicated to your future, I need to have a "real talk" moment with you.
Valentine’s Day is often branded as a day of passion, but passion without protection can have life-altering consequences. While it might not always be the headline news, HIV/AIDS remains a significant reality, especially for our youth.

📍 The Reality Check
It’s easy to feel invincible when you’re young and caught up in the moment, but the virus doesn't take a holiday.
- Status isn't Visible: You cannot tell someone’s HIV status just by looking at them or how much you trust them.
- The "Heat of the Moment": Decisions made in seconds can impact your health for a lifetime.
- Empowerment through Knowledge: Knowing the facts is your best defense.

🛡️ How to Protect Your Future
Loving someone including yourself means prioritizing safety. If you’re planning on being intimate this Valentine’s, keep these three things in mind:
- Know Your Status: Testing is the only way to be sure. It isn't a sign of suspicion; it’s a sign of maturity.
- Protection is Non-Negotiable: If you aren't 100% sure of your partner’s status (and your own), use protection every single time.
- Communication is Key: Being able to talk about sexual health with a partner is a sign of respect, not a "mood-killer."
"Self-love is the foundation of every healthy relationship. Protect your body, protect your future."

🤝 INTYON is Here for You
At INTYON, we are committed to your total well-being. We provide the resources, guidance, and safe spaces you need to navigate these choices without judgment.
Don't let a single night of celebration lead to a lifetime of regret. Enjoy the day, cherish your relationships, but stay smart and stay safe.
With care and solidarity,

Timothy Aposiyine Nsoh
Executive Director, Integrated Youth Needs and Welfare (INTYON)
