BE GRATEFUL, STAY LOYAL

There is a lot to be grateful for even if your life is not going the way you planned it.

For the life you have today is the greatest miracle. And the truth is that once you have life, there is hope for you in GOD!

Enjoy your weekend and remain grateful to God for his goodness and faithfulness and stay loyal.

EmPOWER HER: ALTERNATIVE LIVELIHOODS FOR RURAL WOMEN

YORI -Youth Rise International continues the EmPOWER HER initiative in collaboration with local churches and faith-based organizations. The reviews and feedback from the women participating has been very inspiring and reinforces the fact that we can end extreme poverty given the right skills, tools and resources.

For instance, the eagerness in them to start their own small businesses and to generate additional income to take care of their families is very infectious!

It will interest you to know that, has been very practical and down to earth with them. The discussion on financial literacy equipped them with insights on creative ways to raise capital to start their own small businesses after the training.

However, we recognize this will be challenging considering their economic vulnerability. That is where you come in, to partner with to provide them with seed capital/grants to enable them start their small businesses after the training, an critical catalyst for providing quality care and protection for their families and country.

Nevertheless, they are now very knowledgeable on how to efficiently manage their records, books and the finances of the business which should be distinct from their personal finances.

Post-training evaluation documented that majority of them have gained new knowledge, acquired new hands-on skills and felt confident in starting their own businesses and succeeding in it.

Enjoy some of the scenes from the training session as attached.

ALL CHILDREN DESERVE TO LIVE FREE FROM VIOLENCE.

YORI -Youth Rise International's strategic approach of family strengthening has its ultimate aim of creating safer families and communities where children are happy, loved and free to explore, develop, use their potentials and become responsible adults.

This important work by is critical especially at a time where according to the United Nations:

1. By the end of 2022, more than 450million worldwide, that is, 1 in 6 children lived in conflict zones where their safety and well-being were at constant risk.

2. Over 40million children have been displaced by conflict and violence.

3. School was supposed to be a safe space for children to learn. And yet today, more than 240million children experience violence in and around their schools.

4. About some 15% children have experienced cyber bullying.

5. While some 160million children have been exposed to child labour.

These are happening at a time where globally, there is an urgent call for holistic child protection and child safeguarding.

Regrettably, the devastating impacts of violence against children on their long-term growth and development, mental and physical health and academic life is very profound.

But we have good news for you. is working in the most marginalized, underserved and hard-to-reach rural communities where extreme poverty and violence against children is rife. Through our sustainable interventions that target the root causes of violence against children such as extreme poverty, climate change and food insecurity, we are changing the narrative.

For instance, in 2025, over 400 vulnerable families were economically empowered while protecting over 2,000 children from those families in our communities.

However, the major gap now is scaling up this much needed life-saving and family transformative intervention to reverse back the harsh realities of violence against children in our communities, in Ghana and across Africa.

Here again is the good news: you can be part of this important work and make a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of vulnerable children through "OUR CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER" intervention. Please reach out to us via the comment session or email and let's engage further and work together to make a big difference!

EMPOWERING RURAL WOMEN THROUGH ALTERNATIVE LIVELIHOODS.

YORI -Youth Rise International envisions "Africa without and modern slavery but shared for all citizens, equity and strong families by 2063."

At the heart of our poverty eradication intervention is a special focus on vulnerable rural women's economic empowerment.

discovered through the lived experience of our Founder and from hundreds of rural population groups we served, that extreme poverty in our communities is largely due to rural communities depending on a single source of income especially farming and fishing. However, these sources of income are usually unreliable and fragile due to the climate crisis.

In response to this root cause of rural poverty, together with our rural communities, we co-designed and co-created "EMPOWER HER' initiative. This initiative uses an integrated and innovative social protection model including training on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and hands-on vocational skills training.

In the last few weeks, in partnership with local churches and faith-based organizations, we have enrolled a new set of rural women through series of training and empowerment sessions. The outcome has been very inspiring. We are excited that, these women now have new skills, new knowledge on how to run a small business effectively and they have begun preparing to launch their own income generating activities at the end of the training.

Are you excited to hear more about this critical and life-saving intervention for vulnerable rural women? Stay tuned and keep following closely because many exciting things are rolling on your way β˜ΊοΈπŸ’―.

RUNS A UNIQUE SOCIAL PROTECTION MODEL THAT MUST BE URGENTLY SCALED TO END POVERTY IN AFRICA.

YORI -Youth Rise International envisions "Africa without poverty and modern slavery but shared prosperity for all citizens, health equity and strong families by 2063.

Grounded in grassroots-focused and community-led models as well as contextualized within the African's Agenda 2063 and Global Goals for Sustainable Development 2030 development frameworks, we are focused on pursuing this vision.

More so, being guided by the empirical evidence that poverty in Africa is a rural phenomena and that poverty has a "woman face", intentionally targets marginalized and hard-to-reach rural communities and vulnerable women and at-risk families and .

Are you not excited to know that, in 2025, we provided essential capacity building and training for over 400 vulnerable rural women. Of this number, 315 of them received seed capital while 60 of them received critical business start up tools and equipment to start their own businesses.

We are excited to report that, today, these women are thriving in their businesses and providing better care and protection for their children and families. The impacts is transformative and trans-generational.

I know you would love to hear this: as we collated our draft 2025 Annual Report, we engaged extensively with some of the women beneficiaries. Are you not surprised that a women with 5 children who was struggling to feed them then but now through our support, has expanded her business, is able to provide better care and protection for all her children. As if that was all, that just in 4months, using the bank accounts we assisted her to open, she has over GHS2,000.00 in personal savings!

This is one of hundreds stories of impacts we documented in 2025. Are you eager to hear more of these inspiring stories? Please stay tuned.

Nevertheless, such an impactful and sustainable social protection intervention must be urgently scaled if Ghana and Africa really want to achieve the SDG 1 & 2 by 2030.

Are you inspired and challenged to help scale up this critical anti-poverty intervention across our communities, in Ghana and across Africa? Please reach out to us now via email or at the comment session and we shall reach out to you. Thanks and we look forward to engaging you with soon.
