Urban flooding is a growing climate challenge in Ghana. Wetlands provide natural flood protection by storing excess water, reducing runoff, and regulating water flows. Yet rapid urbanisation and wetland encroachment threaten these functions. This edition of the Future Climate Dialogue explores how protecting wetlands can complement infrastructure and strengthen resilient, climate-smart Ghanaian cities.
