HYPOCRISY AND SELECTIVE RESPECT FOR THE JUDICIARY EXPOSED!

See the irony of politics. The same people who cheered, defended, and benefited from attacks on state institutions are now suddenly preaching respect for the judiciary and the bench. Ghanaians are watching closely.

How can someone who once mocked The Chief Justice of Ghana as "Osono Maame” now position himself as the moral authority on respect for judges and the rule of law? Respect for the bench must be consistent, not convenient.

The removal of the Chief Justice has only deepened public concern about political interference in independent institutions. You cannot undermine confidence in the judiciary when it suits your politics and later demand absolute reverence when the tables turn.

Leadership is not about selective outrage. If we truly believe in democracy, then every institution, especially the judiciary, must be protected from intimidation, manipulation, and partisan attacks, regardless of who is in power.

Ghanaians deserve leaders who defend justice with principle, not propaganda.

“I CANNOT, IN GOOD CONSCIENCE, RESPECT A JUDGE WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW.”

Justice must never be reduced to convenience, intimidation, or political manipulation. The strength of every democracy lies in the independence, fairness, and integrity of its judiciary. When the law is applied selectively, public confidence in the system begins to crumble.

Leadership demands courage, the courage to speak truth even when it is uncomfortable. Silence in the face of injustice is dangerous. The people of Ghana deserve institutions that protect the Constitution, uphold the rule of law, and treat every citizen equally.

A Judge is expected to be the guardian of justice, not an instrument of bias or oppression. Respect is earned through fairness, integrity, and commitment to the law, not merely by title or position.

Ghanaians are watching closely, and history will always remember those who stood firmly in defense of democracy, accountability, and justice.

OSAHENE AFENYO-MARKIN: A FEARLESS VOICE FOR DEMOCRACY STANDING STRONG AGAINST INTIMIDATION

His name is Osahene Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for the Efutu Constituency.

For the records, he is a legal practitioner by profession. He does not just speak for the sake of speaking, he understands the law, governance, and the Constitution of Ghana. His submissions are always backed by knowledge, experience, and deep conviction.

At a time when intimidation, fear, and political harassment are gradually becoming the order of the day, courageous voices like his must not be silenced. Democracy thrives on accountability, freedom of expression, and the rule of law, not intimidation.

Osahene has consistently demonstrated bold leadership, resilience, and the courage to speak truth to power regardless of the circumstances. Many Ghanaians admire his fearlessness and commitment to defending justice and democratic principles.

You have the support of the masses. Stay focused, stay strong, and continue defending the voice of the ordinary Ghanaian. History will always remember those who stood firm when it mattered most.

Abronye Granted Bail

Lawyers for Abronye have secured bail for him. This follows a bail application granted by an Accra Circuit court.

Lawyer Martey Addo, managing counsel at Nkrumah & Associates, lawyers for Abronye told the press outside court that we felt strongly that the decision made last week was not proper in law. The same law however gave us an opportunity to repeat the application and correct such errors. We have argued and we are glad that our prayer has been heard.

He was admitted to bail of Ghs 50,000 with no justification
