Caring Volunteers Network-CAVNET is a registered National Non-Profit organization in Ghana registered with the Social Welfare Department with registration number D.S.W 6814. Caring Volunteers Network-CAVNET was recently incorporated in the U.S.A as a 501( c ) (3) as a public charity with EIN: 85-4316964. Caring Volunteers Network’s (CAVNET) mandate is to help uplift and empower people in rural are
as in especially low-income and food deficient communities. Through a people-centered approach, CAVNET facilitates the initiation of sustainable community development projects aimed at assisting indigenes to improve their livelihoods and wellbeing through advocacy, agriculture and food security, health and educational initiatives. The organization encourages active participation in local and national governance for sustainable development through direct community engagement and by partnering with other international non-governmental organizations, multi-lateral donors and also working with marginalized groups, women and their families. One of our major goals is the promotion of volunteering amongst young people in Ghana to impact local communities. We have hosted international student volunteers from the USA and Norway in the past where the volunteers were placed in rural communities to work.
