📢 Lesson 3 from Kenya's Free Pad Programme:

It's NOT just about the pads! 📢

As we continue to learn from our neighbors, a crucial truth emerges: Free pads alone are not enough if girls don't have safe, clean, and private spaces to manage their periods.

It's heartbreaking to know that 60% of Ghana's basic schools lack usable girls' toilets. Imagine the dignity, comfort, and safety lost when our girls have nowhere adequate to change and dispose of their sanitary products. Without proper WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) infrastructure, the impact of a free pad program will be severely limited.

Let's build a Ghana where every girl can manage her menstruation with dignity. We need to prioritize and invest in safe changing spaces for girls in all our schools.
It's time for action!

One crucial lesson we're highlighting is the need for . In Kenya, budget cuts stalled their pad program, underscoring the vulnerability of relying on a single source.

In Ghana, as we aim to build a robust and resilient system. While government funding is a crucial, we need more. We're calling on corporate and community partners to join us in securing a future where and menstrual products are always accessible.

Your support helps us diversify funding and strengthen our mission.
