*SHILOH FIRE MINISTRY - HOUSE OF PRAYER*
It was a Spirit filled atmosphere even as we praised and worshipped fervently in the Lord's presence.
Delivering the sermon for the day, *Minister Nelson Ntaanu* led by the spirit of God blessed the church with the timely message below:
SERMON TITLE: *PURPOSE AND DESTINATION*
MAIN TEXTS: *_Proverbs 16:4, Luke 16:8, Proverbs 9:10, Matthew 25:14–30 and Ephesians 2:10_*
INTRODUCTION
Church, one of the greatest tragedies in life is not death itself, but living without purpose. Many people wake up every day, move from place to place, work, eat, sleep, and grow old, yet never discover why they were created.
Nothing God created exists without purpose. Every creation of God carries an assignment. The sun has a purpose. The moon has a purpose. The rivers, trees, animals, and seasons all serve divine functions.
Proverbs 16:4
“The Lord hath made all things for himself…”
If God created everything with purpose, then humanity was not created accidentally. We are here for divine assignment. Your existence is intentional.
POINT ONE: *PURPOSE IS THE FOUNDATION OF EXISTENCE*
Every human being was born with a divine purpose.
Ephesians 2:10 - “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…”
You are not a mistake. You are not useless. You are not empty. God placed something inside every person.
A cleaner fulfilling purpose is better than a gifted preacher living carelessly. A student fulfilling purpose is more valuable than a rich man wasting destiny.
Purpose gives meaning to existence.
POINT TWO: *PURPOSE REQUIRES RESPONSIBILITY*
Jesus illustrated this through the parable of the talents.
One servant received five talents, another two, and another one. The master expected productivity from all of them.
The issue was never who had more. The issue was who used what they had.
The servant with five fulfilled purpose. The servant with two fulfilled purpose. But the servant with one buried potential, buried vision, and buried assignment.
POINT THREE: *PURPOSE DETERMINES DESTINATION*
This world is temporary. 1 Peter 2:11
We are strangers and pilgrims on earth.
Every man will eventually leave this world. Death is unavoidable, and the return of Christ is certain.
Nobody knows: The day of death, The hour of transition, The moment Christ will appear.
Therefore, believers must live intentionally.
The end of every matter is what truly matters.
Heaven is real. Judgment is real. Eternity is real.
Your destination after this life will reflect how you lived before God.
Purpose is not only about achievement on earth; it is preparation for eternity.
POINT FOUR: *KNOWING GOD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWING PURPOSE*
A man who knows God gradually discovers himself. Without God, identity becomes confused and purpose becomes corrupted.
Many people are searching for purpose in: Money, Pleasure, Fame, Relationships and Social acceptance.
But purpose is not discovered in the world; it is discovered in God.
Proverbs 9:10 says - “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
True wisdom begins when a man submits himself to God.
Wisdom is a byproduct of the source to which you surrender yourself.
POINT FIVE: *THE CHILDREN OF DARKNESS ARE MORE COMMITTED THAN MANY BELIEVERS*
Luke 16:8
“The children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”
Jesus was not praising evil. He was revealing commitment.
The people of the world are serious about advancing their agendas. They sacrifice, organize, plan, and dedicate themselves fully.
Yet many believers treat divine purpose casually.
Meanwhile the world aggressively promotes darkness without shame.
The tragedy is that many Christians want heavenly rewards without earthly commitment.
The devil will often allow people to continue in distraction until they suddenly realize what they lost when it is already too late.
Church, this is the time to wake up.
*CONCLUSION*
One day life will end. One day eternity will begin. One day every man will stand before God.
On that day, titles will not matter. Popularity will not matter. Wealth will not matter.
What will matter is whether you fulfilled purpose faithfully. May we not waste our lives. May we not bury our talents. May we not lose eternity for temporary pleasures.
May God help us to live wisely, purposefully, and faithfully until the very end.
Amen. *SHALOM!*
