Madam Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for the Ada Constituency, has stated that complaints from residents should not be interpreted as attacks on any individual or institution, but rather as a call for improved service delivery.
According to her, public concerns and criticisms serve as important reminders to leaders and public institutions that citizens expect better performance and accountability.
Speaking at a stakeholders' engagement held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Aqua Safari Resort, Madam Cudjoe noted that all institutions operating within the Ada Constituency exist to serve the people and must therefore strive to provide efficient and diligent services.
She stressed that when concerns raised by residents are ignored, it could erode public confidence and trust in institutions and leadership.
Her comments come in the wake of a recent youth-led demonstration in Ada, during which residents expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as poor service delivery by some leaders and public institutions in both the Ada East and Ada West Districts.
The demonstrators embarked on a march of more than 12 kilometres and presented petitions to the two District Assemblies and traditional authorities, outlining concerns ranging from poor road networks to challenges in emergency healthcare services.
Addressing participants at the forum, Madam Cudjoe called on heads of institutions and stakeholders to openly share the challenges confronting their sectors so that practical solutions could be identified collectively.
As part of her support for critical public services, Madam Cudjoe donated GHC50,000 to the Ghana National Ambulance Service in Ada towards the purchase of a new engine for the district ambulance, which has been out of operation since December 13, 2025.
She also presented GHC40,000 to the Ghana National Fire Service to support the refurbishment of its faulty fire tender and improve emergency response within the constituency.
