His Royal Majesty Togbe Afede, in his continuous commitment to transformational development, led a high-level delegation of investors from the People’s Republic of China on a strategic visit to the proposed Keta Harbour Site to explore long-term industrial investment opportunities within the enclave.

The primary objective of the visit was to assess the potential establishment of an ultramodern oil refinery in Keta - a landmark project that would redefine the industrial and economic landscape of the Volta Region. In addition to the refinery, the investors expressed interest in the petrochemical industry prospects, given the hydrocarbon potentials of the Keta and Volta basins.

The delegation was warmly received by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu and the Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Dzudzorli Kwame Gakpey. Traditional leadership was also well represented, led by Togbe Tenge Dzokoto Glijui VII, Paramount Chief of Amugo Wego and Dufia of Anyako and the Paramount Chief of Anlo-Afiadenyigba.

Addressing the gathering, which included youth leaders, Togbe Afede assured all stakeholders of his unwavering dedication to collaborating with the government and traditional leaders to realize the government’s vision of bringing and spreading development and job opportunities across the country. He emphasized that development thrives where traditional authority, government, investors, and the youth walk together with a shared purpose.

Togbe Afede pledged his commitment to championing more strategic partnerships and developmental projects across the Volta Region, to further the cause of industrial growth and economic excellence. He stressed that these initiatives are not just about infrastructure, but about lightening the path to prosperity, empowering communities, and securing a dignified future for the current and future generations.

Togbe Afede expressed confidence that, with unity, vision, and sustained collaboration, the Volta Region - and Ghana as a whole - will develop and ensure higher living standards and happiness for the citizens.

Togbe Tenge Dzokoto encouraged the youth to prepare themselves through discipline and skills acquisition to take full advantage of the opportunities these projects will bring.

Wli Waterfalls, also known as Agumatsa Falls, is the tallest waterfall in Ghana 🇬🇭 and one of the highest in West Africa.

Located in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region, close to the Ghana–Togo border, Wli Waterfalls cascades through the lush Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary. The falls are made up of two sections, the Lower and Upper falls, and they flow all year round.

The total height is commonly estimated at about 80 metres, though some sources suggest it may be slightly higher, earning it its reputation as the tallest in the country.

What to expect:
📍 Location: Hohoe Municipality, Volta Region, Ghana
🌊 Structure: Upper and Lower falls
🚶🏾‍♂️ Access:
Lower falls require an easy 30 to 45 minute walk through a scenic forest trail
Upper falls involve a more challenging 3 to 4 hour hike
🦇 Nature: Fruit bats, hanging bridges, lush forest, and surrounding mountains
