Our Board Chair, Prof. Nana Akyaa Yao, shares the importance of heart screening and early intervention for children with Down syndrome. Because congenital heart conditions are common among individuals with Down syndrome, early detection can make a significant difference in health outcomes and quality of life.
In partnership with , DSAG recently conducted a heart screening exercise for children with Down syndrome and their families. We look forward to expanding these screenings across Ghana to ensure more children have access to the care they need.
