Nine months ago, little Zuri Zenator Brown Nanegbley underwent life-saving open-heart surgery in Kochi, India, thanks to the partnership between the Down Syndrome Association of Ghana (DSAG) and Love Without Boundaries (LWB)
On 17 July 2025, Zuri bravely faced surgery for a complete atrioventricular septal defect. By 13 August, she was back home in Ghana, her heart stronger and her future brighter. Today, she is thriving, she is full of energy, joy, and hope.
💡 Did you know? Nearly half of all children born with Down syndrome are affected by congenital heart defects. Without timely intervention, these conditions can be life-threatening. Zuri’s story shows what access to care can achieve.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that when compassion meets collaboration, miracles happen. Zuri’s life was transformed because people cared enough to act.
🙏 We remain deeply grateful to , Amrita Hospital, and all who stood by Zuri and her mother, Christabel. Your love and support gave this family a second chance at life.
✨ Zuri’s journey is not just her own it is a beacon of hope for every child with Down syndrome in Ghana and beyond.
