Last week and early this week, YFP alumni held a School Outreach Program with a Speed Mentorship session on Career Guidance, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship for their Inschool members in four schools

The session offered students a chance to interact with mentors, ask questions, and gain insights into their future careers and growth.

Discussions focused on:
🔹 Career planning and decision-making
🔹 Leadership skills and responsibility
🔹 Entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-reliance

The sessions encouraged active participation, meaningful conversations, and knowledge sharing. Students were inspired to set goals, develop potential, and seize opportunities for their growth.

We thank school authorities, mentors, and students for their enthusiasm and participation, which made the program successful.

Together, we empower young people to become responsible leaders and change-makers.

As YFP Alumni, we had the privilege of joining NORSAAC’s two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Proposal Writing, Concept Notes, and Report Writing.
The workshop gathered teacher mentors from various YFP schools and also YFP alumni, providing an engaging platform to enhance in-school YFP activities and ways to make it vibrant
The skills will help us as alumni network to tell our community’s stories better, secure resources, and bring more projects to life in Tamale and beyond. We are grateful to Norsaac for building the capacity of young people to lead and deliver meaningful impact.

Young Female Platforms Alumni - YFP honored an invitation from ActionAid Ghana in collaboration with Young Urban Women's Movement to contribute to the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence celebration. The event featured informative panel discussions focusing on digital violence, exploring its causes, impacts on victims, and strategies for effectively addressing this critical issue. Panelists emphasized the importance of reporting incidents of digital violence to ensure accountability for perpetrators. A police commander present during the discussions encouraged victims to trust the police and report abuse, providing a toll-free number, 18555, for victims to contact the police and seek justice. Together, we can work towards ending digital violence against all women and girls.

The young female platforms alumni- YFP participated in a budget review and analysis workshop organized by SEND GHANA, from November 13 to November 15, 2025. This workshop provided the alumni with the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the 2026 budget presented by the Finance Minister of the Republic of Ghana. Additionally, participants were encouraged to ask questions and propose solutions regarding the allocations made for Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Youth Development.
