Humanist Action Ghana

Humanist Action Ghana HA Ghana is a women's rights NGO based in Tamale, Northern Region.

We provide vocational training for young women living in high poverty, low education communities. Humanist Action Ghana (HA Ghana) is a Ghanaian women's rights and poverty alleviation program. The program runs a vocational training program in the Northern Region of Ghana and partners with local grassroots nonprofits that do similar work. The goal of HA Ghana is to:

- Reduce poverty and promote se

lf-sustainability
- Support local expertise
- Promote humanitarian services in local communities by training future trainers
- HA Ghana focuses on protecting human rights by championing the skills necessary for Ghanaians in impoverished communities to meet their basic needs. HA Ghana does this by collaborating with local organizations and individuals to empower members of the community to build a life of self-sustainability and dignity. Each vocational or agricultural training project coordinated by HA Ghana is specifically tailored to the needs and desires identified by the communities themselves. After each training, trainees are provided with the tools and equipment needed to start a viable business in their field.

We held our graduation ceremony last week. Our trainees have finally completed their vocational training and are now fully qualified fashion designers and tailors. We are so proud of them for all their hard work and dedication.
Each trainee wore their own designs on the day and the community of Taha was present to witness the occasion.
We want to thank each person that has supported us from the beginning.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our trainee, Asana. Asana passed away on Monday during childbirth.
She was a valued member of our Organization and a brilliant student who worked so hard to complete her training. She had just finished preparing her final project work for graduation which takes place in only a few weeks.
She will be greatly missed by our entire team.
Our team has visited her family to offer our condolences and support for her burial.
She will forever be in our hearts.
