Equal Rights. Equal Opportunities.

CALID paid a monitoring and follow-up visit to Nwodua Basic School in the Kumbungu District to assess the utilization of the newly constructed 6-unit classroom block after its successful commissioning and handover to the community.

The excitement and smiles on the faces of the pupils reflected the positive impact of the intervention, as they warmly welcomed CALID staff back to their new learning environment. The improved infrastructure continues to promote access to quality education and create a more conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.

CALID was honored to participate in a transformative 4-day Peace Education Program workshop organized by Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) in collaboration with Prem Rawat Foundation.
The training brought together partners to reflect on a powerful idea: that sustainable peace in our communities begins with inner peace within ourselves. As development practitioners working across diverse communities, we were reminded that the impact we seek to create is deeply rooted in our own mindset and personal well-being.
Throughout the workshop, participants explored key values including contentment, clarity, understanding, peace, inner strength, self-awareness, dignity, choice, hope, and appreciation. These principles are not only essential for personal growth but also critical in shaping how we engage communities, build trust, and drive meaningful development outcomes.
At CALID, we remain committed to integrating these insights into our work as we continue to promote peace, resilience, and sustainable development across the communities we serve.
