Markaz Community Co-operative Credit Union (MCCCU) is a community based credit union formed with the help of CCFC and Markaz Al Bishara to promote savings and meet the financial needs of small entrepreneurs in and around Tamale metropolis. Below are the objectives that guide our operational activities :

to promote thrift among its members by establishing a safe place to accumulate savings and off

ering a fair and real rate of return with the purpose to improve their economic and social condition;
to create a source of credit for provident and productive purposes at a cost allowing the MCCCU to make an adequate profit in order to establish and maintain institutional capital as prescribed by the regulatory authority,
to improve membership services, and to pay dividends on ownership shares and interest on member savings deposits;
to offer educational programs on savings, loans, general cooperative issues, and other financial services and products; and
to provide the opportunity for members to use and control their money to improve their quality of life.
