BIDO Ghana

BIDO Ghana BIDO Ghana is a local NGO with its headquarters in Tamale, t

BIDO was initiated against the backdrop that development opportunities for Rural Development abound under the decentralization programme, yet majority of the rural communities in the regions lack development due to their in ability to utilize community resources, potentials and the opportunities in those areas. This is largely because of the lack of adequate capacity, skills, knowledge, techniques

and courage by the District Assemblies and communities to transform the available resources and potentials for local development.

This Easter, we reflect on hope, dignity, and the gift of life.
As we celebrate, BIDO Ghana continues to advocate through the Time to Deliver Campaign because no woman should have to give birth without clean water.

This World Water Day, BIDO Ghana joins the global call to accelerate action towards sustainable water access for all. Safe water is not a luxury; it is a basic human right that protects health, preserves dignity, and secures our future.
Under this year’s call to action, we are reminded that the time for promises is over,. It’s time to deliver real, lasting solutions for our communities, especially in healthcare facilities where water, sanitation, and hygiene are critical.
Let’s all play our part:
✔️ Save water
✔️ Protect water sources
✔️ Advocate for equitable access
Because when we save water, we save lives and we save the earth.
