As part of the CLIMB Project, BIDO Ghana conducted WASH budget verification engagements with officials from the Bongo and Bawku West District Assemblies. The exercise focused on gathering and verifying WASH budget release and expenditure data from key departments.
The engagement provided valuable insights into WASH financing, resource allocation, and expenditure, helping to put the cost of WASH services into perspective. Despite some challenges in accessing certain data, the commitment and cooperation of both District Assemblies were encouraging.

Today, BIDO Ghana joins the global community in celebrating International Youth Day under the theme: “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”
Young people may come from different backgrounds, communities and circumstances, but across these differences, they share common aspirations for opportunity, dignity, inclusion, decent livelihoods, education, peace and a better future.

BIDO Ghana team has commenced district engagement visits under the SIDA-funded CLIMB Project.
Our first visit was to the Bongo District Assembly, where we met with the District Coordinating Director, District Health Director, District Planner, District Environmental Health Officer, and Budget Officer to obtain and review key district planning and budget documents.
We appreciate the warm reception and the commitment of the Bongo District team to support the successful implementation of the project.

BIDO Ghana extends its deepest condolences to the Dagbon Kingdom on the passing of His Royal Majesty, Ya-Na Abukari II, Overlord of Dagbon (1939–2026).
We join the people of Dagbon, the traditional council, and the entire nation in mourning the loss of a distinguished leader whose reign was marked by wisdom, unity, peace, and an unwavering commitment to the preservation of our rich cultural heritage.

May His Royal Majesty, Ya-Na Abukari II, rest in perfect peace.
