Kalimatullah Foundation LBG Brings New Life to a School in Tamale.
Tamale, Ghana – There’s something powerful about seeing children walk into a classroom that finally feels like a place to learn.
That’s exactly what Kalimatullah Foundation LBG, a non-profit organization based in Tamale, Ghana, has made possible.
Giving ITIRIYA ISLAMIC SCHOOL Classrooms a Second Chance
The foundation recently completed a renovation project for ITIRIYA ISLAMIC SCHOOL in Tamale. Three classrooms that were once worn down have now been fully restored — giving students a safer, brighter, and more dignified space to study.
But Kalimatullah Foundation didn’t stop at the walls and paint.
More Than Just Renovation
To support teaching and learning, the foundation also provided:
- 28 Dual Metal Desks – so students no longer have to share or sit on the floor or lay on their stomach to write
- Ceiling Fans – to help keep classrooms cool in Tamale’s heat
- Bulbs – to ensure classrooms are well-lit for both day and evening studies
For many of these students, this is the first time they’ll have proper desks and a comfortable learning environment.
Why This Matters
Education in northern Ghana faces a lot of challenges: lack of furniture, poor infrastructure, and harsh weather conditions. Organizations like Kalimatullah Foundation LBG are stepping in to fill those gaps, one school at a time.
This project is a reminder that real change often starts locally. A renovated classroom, a new desk, a fan on a hot afternoon — these are the things that help a child focus, stay in school, and dream bigger.
A Call to Support
Kalimatullah Foundation LBG continues its mission to support communities across Tamale through education and development projects. Their work shows what’s possible when compassion meets action.
