HEAD-Ghana is a local non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, non-profitable and non-tribal based organization formed based on research conducted in a number of deprived communities and according to the willingness of the community people in a view to deal with the present educational and socio-economic problems in different communities by means of good understanding and sharing their pro
blems and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making. HEAD-Ghana is dedicated to enhance the quality of education for marginalized children and to contribute to the development and provision of quality education, promotion of socio-economic services for communities, improve the current situation of rural economy and enhance food security for children and women living in deprived areas through a structured intervention and advocacy programme that offers opportunities for children and rural women development. Work: Include provision of basic needs to enhance quality education, life skills and basic education, job training and placement, entrepreneurship, construction of schools and other life improving services targeting disadvantaged children, women, including orphans and vulnerable children. Working closely in line with national, governmental, non-governmental organizations, international charities and volunteers, the program seeks to increase its effectiveness in working with children and women. HEAD Ghana is committed to enhancement of useful education to under-privileged children in Northern Ghana by providing children with basic educational materials, building schools where they are highly needed and empowerment of rural women by creating socio-economic capacity. We hope to form a socially, financially, environmentally and educationally self-sustaining model that is accessible to everyone.
