YEAFAD recently conducted a monitoring visit to Naatong Zou Junior High School, where we had donated reusable menstrual cups to adolescent girls a few months ago. The goal of this initiative is to end menstrual poverty among adolescent girls in rural communities of Northern Ghana.

We were thrilled to see the positive impact of our donation. The girls shared their experiences and stories, highlighting the difference the menstrual cups have made in their lives. Their enthusiasm and feedback will help us improve our future interventions.

We appreciate the support of the headmaster and the entire school management team for their cooperation and commitment to girls' education and health. This collaboration is crucial to achieving our shared goal of quality education for all girls.

At YEAFAD, we remain committed to ensuring adolescent girls access necessary services for a better future. Our work aligns with Ghana's national development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At Youth Entrepreneurship Advocacy For Africa Development-YEAFAD, we're passionate about promoting sustainable solutions to critical issues affecting our youth, particularly adolescent girls. One pressing concern is menstrual poverty, which affects thousands of girls in Ghana, leading to absenteeism and risky behaviors.

The financial burden of sanitary pads is overwhelming for low-income families, forcing them to choose between basic needs and dignity. To address this, we're advocating for the use of reusable menstrual cups as a sustainable solution.

In line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable education for all, we're encouraging parents, guardians, and adolescent girls to embrace reusable menstrual cups.

Together, we can:

1. Reduce menstrual poverty
2. Promote girls' education
3. Support sustainable development

Let's work towards achieving SDG 4 by 2030. Join us in advocating for reusable menstrual cups and empowering girls to reach their full potential.

Yesterday Friday, YEAFAD successfully conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) awareness campaign for 34 adolescent girls at Nantong Zuo Junior High School in the Northern Region of Ghana. Our facilitators covered essential topics, including the importance of MHM, understanding menstruation, menstrual hygiene practices, and addressing common challenges.

The highlight of the program was the introduction of reusable menstrual cups, donated by our European Board of Directors, to help reduce menstrual poverty among adolescent girls. The team shared these cups to some students and encouraged their proper use, with plans to monitor and evaluate the impact in the coming months.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Headmaster, Mr. Habib Suhunun, Madam Baraka Muhammed, and the entire YEAFAD team for their support and dedication to empowering adolescent girls.

On Sunday, our team accompanied by our Board of Directors from the Netherlands, paid a successful courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon.

The visit was a remarkable experience, filled with warmth and hospitality. We were honored to introduce our special guests to the king, who received us with open arms and expressed his support for our organization's work.

The engagement was insightful, and the chief's blessings and prayers for our organization were truly uplifting. As a token of appreciation, the king honored our team leader, Mr. Roland Morris Joe, with a traditional smock.

We took memorable photos with the king and later toured the new palace, which is currently under construction. The interactive session with community members in Yendi was also a highlight of our visit.

This courtesy call not only strengthened our relationship with the Overlord of Dagbon but also demonstrated our organization's commitment to cultural exchange and community engagement.
