BOSA Response to Social Media Commentary by DJ GFace on Majority Radio Regarding the Alleged Lack of a Sound System at BISCO

The Business Old Students Association (BOSA) wishes to clarify certain issues arising from a video commentary shared on social media by DJ GFace of Majority Radio regarding the alleged absence of a sound system at Business Senior High School (BISCO).

BOSA would like to state that the authorities of Business SHS have never formally requested a Public Address (PA) System from the Association. It is therefore important that before making such claims publicly, due diligence is conducted by seeking clarification from the relevant authorities. A responsible journalist should first verify whether any official request was made and, if necessary, request evidence of such communication before presenting the matter on air.

Regarding claims about his role as the official Master of Ceremonies (MC) during the BISCO anniversary celebration, BOSA wishes to clarify that available records do not indicate that DJ GFace was appointed as the official MC for the event. The official MC arrangements included DJ Tell, an old student of BISCO, and the CEO of Majority Radio, DJ Parara.

However, due to the support and publicity provided by DJ Parara and Majority Radio towards the anniversary celebration, DJ GFace was assigned a role to assist in hosting some old students during his programme and help promote information about the anniversary. If, during this period, any member of the school management separately engaged or appointed him to provide additional support, BOSA has no record of such an arrangement.

BOSA respects the role of the media and encourages responsible journalism based on facts, fairness, and verification. We also wish to remind DJ GFace that Majority Radio is owned by an old student of BISCO, and therefore, comments concerning old students and the Association should be made with fairness, professionalism, and due regard for the facts.

BOSA remains committed to supporting the growth and development of Business Senior High School and appreciates all genuine efforts towards that objective.
