International Girls in ICT Day reinforces an important reality: access determines who gets to shape the future of technology.

On this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œAI for Development: Girls shaping the digital future,โ€ the focus goes beyond technology itself. It is about creating space for girls to explore, contribute, and lead in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Access to AI and digital skills is still not equal, yet when opportunities are created early, they do more than build capability. They strengthen confidence, expand ambition, and open pathways into meaningful careers in tech.

At AmaliTech, this commitment comes to life through our women-focused initiatives. From coding bootcamps to Women in Tech webinars and other programmes, we focus on creating environments where learning translates into real opportunity. Exposure to emerging technologies like AI ensures women are not only part of the conversation, but actively shaping it.

Creating access for girls today is how a more inclusive, innovative, and representative tech future is built.

The real value of a technology partner is not just in what they deliver, but in how deeply they understand your business.

Many organisations invest in external teams to execute specific tasks, but ex*****on alone does not drive transformation. What makes the difference is a partner that connects delivery to business outcomes, understands internal workflows, and contributes beyond the immediate scope.

At AmaliTech, we take a more connected approach. Our teams work with a shared view of our clientsโ€™ systems, goals, and operational context, enabling us to anticipate needs, align solutions to real challenges, and contribute across functions.

This is how collaboration becomes partnership, and how technology begins to drive real, measurable impact across the business.

If you are exploring how to strengthen your delivery capacity or apply AI more effectively within your organisation, letโ€™s have a conversation. AmaliTech Coding Clubs: Positioning Students for the Future of Tech

The future of tech is no longer limited to one path, and students are increasingly recognising that opportunity exists across disciplines.

Through recent engagements with AmaliTech Coding Clubs at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University of Energy and Natural Resources - UENR , conversations focused on how students can position themselves early for the evolving world of work.

Across both sessions, one insight stood out. Students are not just looking for inspiration, they are seeking clear, practical direction. Discussions explored pathways in software development, AI, data, cybersecurity, cloud, and UI/UX, while emphasising the importance of building projects, developing portfolios, and engaging in tech communities.

At UENR, conversations challenged common myths about breaking into tech and sparked deeper engagement, with students asking practical questions and showing increased interest in joining coding clubs. At KNUST, curiosity around AI and career pathways reflected a growing awareness that technology is an enabler across industries, not just a specialised field.

These engagements reflect what we see across the ecosystem. Talent is not the challenge, access to the right guidance, environment, and opportunities is. Through AmaliTech Coding Clubs, we are creating early entry points for students to explore, build, and grow, strengthening the pipeline of globally competitive tech talent and ensuring more young people can confidently step into the digital economy.

Efficiency is not just about working faster, it is about building systems that remove friction from everyday work.

Many organisations invest in tools, yet still struggle with fragmented processes, limited visibility, and manual workflows that drain time and productivity. The real shift happens when systems are intentionally designed to simplify how people work every day.

At AmaliTech, this thinking led to ARMS, our cloud-native HR and procurement platform built on AWS, designed to streamline operations, improve visibility, and empower teams to focus on what truly matters.

When the right infrastructure meets real operational needs, complexity becomes seamless, and teams can focus on delivering value where it matters most.

Engaging with emerging tech talent continues to reaffirm a simple truth, the transition from learning to industry requires more than knowledge, it requires structured pathways that build real capability.

At the Career Fair at Carnegie Mellon University Africa in Kigali, we connected with students exploring how to move from academic learning into practical, industry-ready experience through opportunities such as the AmaliTech Apprenticeship Programme.

The conversations reflected more than curiosity. They highlighted a strong demand for hands-on experience, exposure to real-world problem solving, and clearer pathways into global tech environments.

At AmaliTech, we continue to focus on building those pathways, where ambition is shaped into capability, and capability is connected to opportunity.

AI is often described as the future of work, but its real value shows up when it solves real problems for real people.

At the Cursor Ghana Community Hackathon at KNUST, AmaliTech partnered with CSS KNUST, Khaya AI, and Aeero. ai to support an ecosystem where AI is not just discussed, but actively built and applied.

Our team members, Rose Tetteh and Asumah Yakubu, served as judges, engaging with young builders who are translating AI into practical, locally relevant solutions across agriculture, healthcare, law, and community development. The focus was clear, not just technical ex*****on, but intentional problem-solving.

One key insight stood out. When barriers to access are reduced, innovation accelerates. Participants used Khaya AIโ€™s language models to translate solutions into local dialects, making them more inclusive, while tools like Cursor AI enabled rapid prototyping for everyday challenges, from financial fraud detection to healthcare and civic engagement.

This signals a broader shift. AI in Africa is moving from isolated experimentation to real-world application, where the question is no longer what AI can do, but what it should solve.

For AmaliTech, this reinforces a core belief. Technology creates real impact when it is paired with talent, access, and environments where ideas can be tested, refined, and scaled.

As more organisations explore AI, the focus must go beyond adoption to intentional application.

Connecting students to real opportunities is how we help shape the future of tech. We recently participated in the Palm University College Career Fair, engaging students on careers in technology and the pathways available at AmaliTech.

From National Service and internship opportunities to AWS training programmes, conversations focused on building practical skills and preparing for the future of work. It was encouraging to see strong interest from students eager to gain hands-on experience and grow in the tech space.

A highlight of the event was the Innovation Challenge Pitch, where students showcased solutions such as a fintech trading platform and a cybersecurity training tool, reflecting creativity and a strong drive to solve real-world problems.

We are inspired by the ambition and ideas we encountered and remain committed to creating pathways for students to learn, grow, and thrive in tech.

Access for women changes everything, especially when it is paired with the right environment to learn, experiment, and grow. It is not just about inclusion, it is about unlocking potential that has long been underrepresented.

In partnership with the Graduate Studentsโ€™ Association of Ghana (GRASAG UCC), AmaliTech supported a Women in Tech Bootcamp at the University Of Cape Coast (UCC) , creating a space where women could build both technical capability and confidence. What stood out was not just the range of skills introduced, from data analysis to AI and data visualisation, but the shift in mindset that took place over the course of the week. Participants moved from uncertainty to clarity, from curiosity to confidence, and from learning to applying.

Growth in tech is often seen as a technical journey, but the experience reinforced something deeper. Confidence is built through practice. Capability is strengthened through collaboration. Progress is accelerated when people are supported, challenged, and given the space to contribute.

The bootcamp also highlighted the role of community in shaping careers. Peer learning, mentorship, and shared experiences created an environment where participants could see themselves not just as learners, but as contributors to the tech ecosystem.

At AmaliTech, this is central to how we approach inclusion. Creating access is important, but creating the right conditions for growth is what drives lasting impact. When women are equipped with the right skills, support, and opportunities, they do not just participate in tech, they help shape its future.
