Tawheed Development Foundation Congratulates Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen on His Appointment as Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkiye

We at Tawheed Development Foundation extend our heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen on his well-deserved appointment as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkiye.

This historic appointment marks Sheikh Nasiru-Deen’s first formal entry into diplomatic service and it comes as a glowing testament to his decades of tireless work in Islamic dawah, public service, and community upliftment.

His elevation to such a high national position is not only a personal honour but also a victory for the broader Muslim Ummah and all who believe in selfless leadership, humility, and service to humanity.

As partners in dawah and community activity in Ghana, we wish to share our joy at this good news as we go further with prayers for the success of this mandate.

Sheikh Nasir Deen’s Paragon Foundation is a worthy partner and we believe that this new portfolio will open new doors for better impact on our community.

Sheikh Nasiru-Deen’s life has been devoted to propagating Islam and nurturing morally upright individuals across Ghana and beyond. A committed Islamic scholar and preacher, he has served the Muslim community with passion, wisdom, and sincerity.

His contributions to education, intra-faith harmony, youth mentorship, and national unity are widely acknowledged.

He is the founder and Executive Director of Paragon Foundation, a non-governmental organization that focuses on Islamic education, da’wah, social welfare, and youth development.

Through this organization, Sheikh Nasiru-Deen has inspired and empowered many, especially in Zongo communities, to seek knowledge, live righteously, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Sheikh Nasir Deen played a pivotal role in securing key financiers for the construction of the Ghana National Mosque at Kanda, Accra. Through his unwavering commitment to dawah and strategic outreach, sheikh successfully lobbied Turkish stakeholders and Islamic charitable organizations, particularly Human Development Association International (HUDAI), to invest in the multi-million-dollar project.

His diplomatic skills, passion, and persistence played a critical role in securing the trust and support of Turkish donors, culminating in the establishment of the largest mosque complex in Ghana, which stands today not only as a symbol of worship but also a symbol of Islamic identity, international brotherhood and architectural excellence.

In addition to his religious and social leadership, Sheikh Nasiru-Deen is known for his deep love for Ghana, his advocacy for peaceful coexistence, and his unwavering commitment to the ideals of equity and justice. These virtues undoubtedly contributed to the confidence reposed in him by the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

As he assumes his new role in Turkiye, a nation that shares rich economic and religious ties with Ghana, we are confident that Sheikh Nasiru-Deen will bring his values of honesty, discipline, and da’wah to bear in strengthening the bonds of friendship between Ghana and the Republic of Turkiye.

We also believe that this national assignment will not have any negative effect on his dawah activities, it will rather strengthen it and take it to another value.

We ask Allah (SWT) to guide him, grant him success in his duties, and make this new chapter a means for promoting peace, cooperation, and Islam’s noble values on the international stage.

Mabrook, Sheikh! Tawheed Development Foundation is proud of you.

We at Tawheed Development Foundation (TDF) congratulate the Founder and CEO of Paragon Foundation on his appointment.

Tawheed Development Foundation (TDF) launched its Rural Dawah Project on Friday with a trip to the village of Ayiem, a farming community in the Mpohor Wassa East district of the Western Region of Ghana.

The community which is largely made up of Christians and the non religious has just a sparse population of muslims. Many of whom are from non-Islamic background.

During the interaction session which was held after the khutba offered by the Head of Dawah at TDF, Imam Adil Yunus Wakpenjo, it manifested that many Muslims are being lost to christianity whilst others have become indifferent to the deen.

Children are lured into Christianity at their various schools. Parents are helplesslyooking on, bereft of any ideas which could help chart a good Islamic course for their children. Situation at Ayiem is very chaotic and the future of Islam in that community happens to be very bleak.

After a thorough research by TDF, facts that came up points to the fact that leadership has neglected the rural dwellers and this had culminated in most rural dwellers having difficulties in the deen.

Our findings are as follows;

1. Rural dwellers lack the opportunity to learn their deen and practise it well. This is as a result of the reluctance of scholars to visit them.

2. Many Muslims children who leave the rural areas to study Islam end up remaining in the various cities to operate whilst others abandon their studies and turn their attention to making money.

3. Many Muslims are leaving the deen due to some form of coercion and subtle sanctions that are prevalent in such communities.

4. Lack of proper Islamic programs is making the deen continuously unattractive thereby making the few Muslims look elsewhere for religious belongingness.

We believe that if all Muslims, especially those in leadership positions, scholars and the financially capable turn their attention to the rural areas the story will change and many people will turn towards islam and the mosques will become vibrant and serve their purposes well.
